Auntie Anne's — Restaurant in Waco

The food is okay. Not the greatest but fair. They could use better management. We got our food in a timely fashion because it was already prepared. I waites 6 minutes for 3 drinks. A frozen strawberry lemonade, frozen raspberry mixer, and a Dr Pepper. The young red headed gentleman started on my drink order. Now mind you, he prepared the first drink, which was the frozen strawberry lemonade. Which, sat there for about 4 minutes. While he was making the person behind me their drink. I don't know what it was but it tool him exactly 4 minutes to prepare it. Meanwhile, I was waiting for my other drinks which were the medium Dr. Pepper and frozen raspberry mixer. I thought the drinks he prepared were for me but he made that drink specifically for the person behind me. I was embarrassed thinking those drinks were mine. He said that drink is for the other individual. I asked him where are my drinks? He said I have to make them. That is unacceptable customer service. This is one of the reason why I will not be coming back or spending my hard earned money on a place that discriminates a person who is not the color of acceptance. I do feel discriminated against. Auntie Anne's in Waco you need to do better. The time is now 3:46...

Hi Robert! I'm sorry I missed to opportunity to clarify what happened with you - you left before I could explain. I was offering the lady in line the chance to try our managers special - the 2-for-$6 regular pretzel dog deal. You came up and asked me how much the regular pretzel nuggets were - I told you they were $3.99. Because I was still helping the lady finish her transaction, I didn't get the chance to respond quickly enough when you seemed offended by this. I tried to stop you as you were leaving to clarify what happened, but you seemed to be in a hurry.

I'd love to have you give us another shot - our 2-for-$6 regular pretzel dog deal is always available. I know times are tough, too, so I'd also recommend checking out our Pretzel Perks app available on Android and Apple devices, as well as any of our other combo options. Wow.. Just wow. You offer the customer in front of me 2 pretzels at closing for $6 and then we don't get the special. People talk about 'white privilege'... How about 'white penalty' for just being white.

This is a sad day when you can intentionally and without a second thought offer a discount to customers who are not white and intentionally, refusing to offer them a discount. Man, I'd take the special as quickly as the next person because I need it as much as any person. I'm barely scraping by and wanted to get a couple to share with my 2 sons who I am spending my vacation playing miniature golf as our big splurge.

No thanks, and please avoid this place. They exclude you based on who they think you are and do NOT treat every customer with any equal...
