MARIE'S Wine Bar — Restaurant in Waco

In town just visiting and decided to try this place out based on the reviews. I would assume that if you’re just going for drinks it could be a fun time. I give 2 stars for the lovely service we received. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. But I would not recommend the food what-so-ever. It was extremely bland and overpriced for what you get. In all, if you’re looking for a cool atmosphere and overpriced alcohol, try it out. Should I ever be in town again though, I would not return.

First, let me say that I love wine...all varietals and vintages. I can drink almost any glass you put in front of me...almost. We sat down on a nice couch with a great view if the wine bar. Our server came over, very quickly and super nice, and we ordered a Malbec and a Moscato. Well, they were out of both types of Moscato, so my wife had a Pinot Grigio that was comparable to the Moscato. No problem. Then the gnats came to visit...we did our best to shoo them away, but they were persistent. At one point we thought they were gone until our friends arrived and noticed them, too. As we were leaving, I decided to finish my glass and realized, to late, that one had tried to drink from my glass...I showedcthe bartender the offending beast and she politely offered me another glass. No thanks...we probably won't be going back until all the critters are finished...

One of my regular spots as a native Wacoan. This bar has some of the best craft cocktails around. I’m normally a strictly crown and sprite drinker, but their menu has been very tempting and each new drink I try is a hit! My last tasting experience was their Butterbeer, which was an immediate re-order for round 2!

The atmosphere is always great and they stay on top of booking live music, both local and traveling. They have a pretty sick setup for live bands including a gorgeous stage for any piano performances that come through.

They are a perfect fit for downtown Waco and a must stop if you’re in the area! The staff and owners are incredibly friendly and very passionate about delivering an experience that’s unique to Waco.

I highly recommend to both locals and those...
