It is with a sense of disbelief and profound disappointment that I recount my recent visit to MOROSO Wood Fired Pizzeria. Regrettably, I must caution anyone considering dining there, as my experience was nothing short of a culinary catastrophe. From abysmal customer service to appalling food quality, interminable wait times, and a woefully inadequate manager, MOROSO proved itself to be a contender for the worst pizzeria one could possibly choose.
The journey began with the utterly abysmal customer service that MOROSO offered. The staff’s indifference was palpable, as they treated patrons more like an inconvenience rather than valued customers. Any inquiries were met with exasperated sighs, and the extent of their product knowledge was shockingly limited. This lack of care and attention to customer needs created an atmosphere of unwelcome frustration that tainted the entire dining experience.
The food at MOROSO was not just disappointing; it was an outright travesty. Each dish that graced my table was a pitiful representation of what could have been. The presentation was haphazard at best, as if the kitchen staff had thrown together ingredients without a second thought. And the taste? A cacophony of mediocrity, as flavors clashed and failed to complement each other. It was as if the culinary team had abandoned any aspiration for excellence and settled for serving subpar, unappetizing fare.
The experience was further marred by the excruciatingly lengthy wait for my order. Time seemed to stand still as I watched, hungry and frustrated, while other tables received their food before me. The tantalizing aroma of pizza wafting through the air served only to mock my growing hunger. Clearly, the kitchen’s disorganization and inefficiency were evident to all, causing an air of unrest among the diners who, like me, had expected a timely and satisfying meal.
However, the pinnacle of MOROSO’s ineptitude was embodied by its manager, whose inability to manage was glaringly evident. The manager’s lack of presence on the floor only exacerbated the chaos, and when approached with concerns, they displayed an astonishing disregard for customer complaints. It was clear that the managerial role had been woefully misallocated, leaving the restaurant without the leadership necessary to remedy the situation.
In conclusion, MOROSO Wood Fired Pizzeria has earned its place as a contender for the title of worst pizzeria. The woeful customer service, tasteless and unappealing food, excruciating wait times, and an utterly ineffective manager have collectively created an experience that no diner should have to endure. It is my solemn recommendation that anyone seeking a satisfying dining experience should steer far clear of MOROSO and explore alternatives that value their patrons and take pride in the quality of...
Read moreLet's talk about Moroso.
A place that upon entering you realize that it is perfect for a date, a business meeting, or simply bring someone you want to impress. 🫶🏼🤯
When I entered they offered me a table, but it was a bit strange because the first thing they told me was that they had a table for me but that I had until 6:15 pm since they had a reservation, something that was really strange for me. But maybe the place is by reservation and I didn't have one, although when I left there were quite a few empty tables. I still don't understand why they rushed me and needed me to get off at a specific time. Pretty much, I feel that I need to order, eat, and leave as soon as possible. So' on that point, I didn't feel welcome. 🤨😔
When the waiter arrived, he was extremely kind. He took my order and brought me the water that I ordered right away.
Btw the water in that place is perfect, I don't know where they got that water from, but I don't think that is tap water. If you are going to order a beverage, don't do it. The water will be fine.
We ordered Bruschettas as an appetizer, and they were some of the best Bruschettas I've had in the city.
We also ordered a drink called Red Queen, a perfect drink, well balanced, and with good taste and presentation.
Now let's go to the food! 🤨🤦🏼♂️
I went with high expectations, I am a pizza guy, so I was ready to get impressed.
I ordered San Daniele Pizza and Fettuccine alla Moroso, aka Fettuccine Alfredo.
The pizza was good, well cooked and delicious; but I don't think I can say it's the best pizza in town. The Fettuccine Alla Moroso, the sauce was good but the chicken in that dish had to have come out of a container there is no other explanation, $20 for a dish that I can do better at home? Is no way.
Then they offered me dessert, and we ended up choosing Affogato. I'm not a fan of coffee, so I didn't like it. Is literally ice cream swimming in coffee. If you like coffee you'll probably like it.
As always, I will rate what I ordered: Bruschettas 5/5🌟 Red Queen (cocktail) 5/5🌟 San Daniele Pizza 4/5🌟 Fettuccine Alla Moroso 3/5🌟 Affogato 2/5🌟 Water...
Read moreI had my first experience there, date night with the husband, and MAN WAS I SURPRISED!! All my expectations of a small family owned businesses!! I was so excited to go, that when me and the husband talked about it in the car ride I had the expectation of (if I had a food business) every one that came in would be treated as if they entered my home and I was cooking a meal for them!
I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!!
Mr. Moroso greeted us at the door, we made a reservation, which I recommend you do, we told them this was our first time there, and we was also greeted after being seated, table side by Mrs. Moroso!! The place was so inviting and felt like we had been welcomed into their home!! The food was phenomenal, not bad for the prices, everybody knows that things aren’t cheap any more, and with everything being prepared and made from scratch these ingredients tasted amazing, my husband noticed as we finished everything on our plates that I did not reach for any salt and pepper, it was so good it didn’t need anything extra, adding more salt would be disrespectful lol. We shared the Margherita pizza and shared the famous amazing lasagna. Our waitress, Toi, was amazing and the staff seemed happy and helpful. Me and my husband have been 25+ years in the food business and we notice things like happy employees, the atmosphere, and the quality of food!! I enjoyed myself so much that I was still on cloud 9 the next day from this amazing experience. You won’t be able to go to any other place to dine in and feel so welcomed as if you were invited into their home for a meal!
I believe Mr. And Mrs. Moroso deserve to keep their 5 stars. I’d give them 10!!! For hospitality and for authentic Italian food!! The prices are worth the quality of food you will receive.
Mr. & Mrs. Moroso with smiles on their face and being warm and happy and welcoming each and every guest and buzzing around talking to every one, made me feel like I was invited into their home for an amazing meal!
I strongly recommend trying this place for yourself, be sure to make reservations!!
Ps!! I will be back for seconds!! So amazing...
