KFC — Restaurant in Wadsworth

I love KFC, in fact it’s my all time favorite chicken restaurant. I miss the days when KFC’s were all over NE Ohio, I would eat there at least once every couple of weeks, these days the restaurant is hard to find, well I found this one in Wadsworth, Ohio, a 20 min drive from my house in Barberton and yesterday 2/26/23 we took the drive out there to treat ourselves to a KFC dinner, which was the first time in about 15 years that I’ve eaten in one of their restaurants and it was just as fantastic as I remember them to be. This location greatly impressed me, the first thing I noticed when I walked through the doors was the impeccable cleanliness, the person who waited on us at the counter was an older lady that I’m assuming is the manager, if she wasn’t she sure was very professional and inviting, her personality was warm and friendly, whom ever hired her did the image of this restaurant a huge justice. We ordered the 8 piece original mixed with cole slaw & Mac and cheese as sides, we ordered the lemon bunt cake for dessert and of course extras of those famous biscuits of theirs. Our meal was perfect, I relished every bite, good Lord their chicken is so good. Went here Friday at about 6:30 PM. There was one car ordering and I was next in line. It took 10 minutes for the person in front of me to get their food and then I waited 12 more minutes on mine, the whole time nobody came to the window except when we first pulled up they took our money for the order without saying anything. I waited for 5 more minutes before laying on my horn for someone to come to the window, but nobody came. I then leaned over and started knocking on the drive thru window over and over before someone finally came. They asked what I needed," DUH....my food that I already paid for." She then says it will be a few more minutes that she is the only one in the back. Why would you not say that to me when I pulled up and you took my money leaving me under the impression that things were ok. I had my 3 year old son in the car and he was hungry and was getting cranky after the 25 minute wait.Awful customer service, sadly this is the new gen's work ethic(none) and it seems that nobody in fast food is held accountable anymore. The boy at the drive through was fabulous, in all ways. I will be going back to see him again. Thay macaroni and cheese should be what we drink for survival. Slides down your throat like coconut oil on my menopausal girlfriend. Shed like the boy at drive through too. Just her style in manors and everything else. It says Aimee on our receipt. Didnt catch that bits name. Wish I could praise him by name here. Aimee was top notch too. A real thrill to watch work even though her back was always towards us. Still amazing. Great work. Making the counters and walls look good in there. Frankly only because Aimee kept our attention. Hard. At work.
