My friend and I went in aroubd 1:10am (a bit late but wanted to see the place since I've heard so many good things) we walked in and the female bartender was extremely rude. She says "hi, we're taking last call now guys" so we promptly ordered our drinks (a Miller light and bud light) she then requested our IDs and we promptly handed our wallets to her with the ID visible, then she rudely says "take them out of your wallet!" I look at my friend and tilt my head in disbelief and she then goes and retrieves our drinks, removed the caps and then sets them down in front of us with the bill and says the price (can't remember how much it was). My friend paid her and then obviously with the lack of greeting, the rude last call comment, the rude demanding that we remove our IDs from our wallets, then the rude demanding of payment he left her no tip.
She then looked at the bill and sees she has no tip and scoffs saying "oh gee, thanks" and walks away. My friend and I discuss her rudeness then begin to drink our beers and at 1:20am she comes over and says "okay guys I'm closing up in 3 minutes you're going to have to leave."
My friend and I both then left without finishing our beer. As we're leaving the (what appeared to be bouncer) said something to us as we were getting in our car and as he was locking the door but it was unintelligible. So my friend went back to the door to see what he had to say and the guy refused to come to the door.
WOW, I cannot believe this place. I asked around and it sounds like Spunkmeyers is a family owned and operated business, but I'm not sure how they plan to stay in business with treatment like that. I planned on complaining to the owner, but I doubt it will do any good so I just wanted to warn any readers that will take the time to read this. This particular bar tender was rude, brown hair, medium build, and said she had only been working there for 6 months. She was working the inside bar at 1:10am on May 20th (so the evening of May 19th to May 20th).
I would not recommend this place to anyone, nor will my friend...
Read moreI don’t normally leave bad reviews, but man was this rough. My wife and I decided to come her for our four year wedding anniversary, and we left incredibly disappointed. Let me preface this saying my wife and I used to regularly go to Spunkmeyer’s under their old ownership. Under new ownership, we have constantly left disappointed. Last time we were there, they forgot my wife’s food entirely and had to expense it. This time our wait time just for a server was twenty minutes. I ordered a caramel apple bourbon drink and my wife ordered a Diet Coke. The bourbon drink came with the ice already melted in, tasted entirely watered down, and our waitress apologized for the way the garnish looked. It was a piece of caramel that sat haphazardly on the rim and just looked sloppy. My wife’s Diet Coke was flat and she asked for it to be taken back. It still ended up on our bill. We waited around another forty minutes for food and it came out cold and otherwise unappetizing. I got the Philly cheesesteak, which was lukewarm and rubbery. It seemed from the taste that it was sitting at the window for quite some time before our server brought it over. I couldn’t finish it as my stomach became upset from it. My wife ordered cheese fries which were stone cold by the time they got to her. She barely ate them. We actually asked for the bill when our waitress brought our food because we knew it would be such a long wait. Our waitress profusely apologized for the lack of service, but honestly, it’s a hard apology to accept when there was no attempt to appease the customer. Honestly terribly disappointed and would have rather gone to Taco Bell by night’s end. I think my wife and I are all out of chances to give Spunkmeyers. We...
Read moreI frequent Spunkmeyers and have had good service and am loving the current menu. My only complaint is the service on the patio. The service inside has been wonderful and convinced some friends to go to the patio during the week. They were hesitant because service was an issue in the past. I told them I have been there several times and service inside was really good. Unfortunately, the dining service on the patio was not so good. The server was polite seemed like a nice young lady. So nothing personal these are just my observations of service.
I'll be back because I like Spunkmeyers but probably will avoid eating on the patio which is a shame because the patio is such a great atmosphere. Finally, I am a server myself so can appreciate how difficult it can be, my comments come from being on both sides...
