We have ordered from Casa many, many times and are usually quite satisfied but lately......WOW. We have missing items on several occasions for carry out, the wait time for our carry out was long and when we called to make the staff aware of this Javier promised a $20 credit for waiting 45 minutes for our carry out order and Carly put our name down for a free bag of chips since we have been missing our chips AT LEAST twice. Tonight we called to order once again to use this credit and receive the items we paid for but never got and we were treated with such disrespect. Javier acted like we were lying......about food we paid for and promised to get at our next order! Apparently he didn't write it down and said he couldn't honor this. What a disappointment. We'll be taking our business elsewhere.
UPDATE: We most certainly did wait 45 minutes for our food. We asked twice with the young ladies who were running food out to everyone else if we could get a status on our order after being told it would be ready in 15 minutes. 2 times within a 45 minute period. Do not tell me I didn't wait that long when I was the one waiting in the car with an eye on the clock. It also was not the appropriate credit because it wasn't the one that was told to us by Javier. I can't believe how rude that...
Read moreWhile we normally enjoy our dinners from Casa del Rio last night was a little interesting. My daughter got the Chipotle chicken which she really enjoyed... I did taste it and I agree with her It was very good. I on the other hand got the chimichangas. Well, I've had many a chimichangas in my life and I must say I was very disappointed. We did get our food for take out so it did sit like 10 minutes for my drive home in its container however when I got home and open the lid it basically had turned to slime. Now I do know that the sauce that was on top of the chimichangas was a factor in this tragedy... However I'm wondering if it could possibly be put on the side in the future to avoid having the chimichangas resemble wet human skin. Upon taking a bite of the chimichanga I did realize that the observation that I made of wet human skin did transfer over into the taste and consistency...for split second I felt like Hannibal lecter. It was down right horrible and wrinkly. I took my first bite and only bite and proceeded to literally throw the entire container in the trash can. It was a complete waste of time and money...
Read moreWithout a doubt, Casa del Rio is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area, offering a wide variety of traditional and inspired dishes with insanely fast service. Check out the margarita menu as well, because they're all great and there are some pretty wacky flavors. Usually you can tell how good a Mexican restaurant will be based on the first few minutes, and Casa del Rio certainly follows the trend. Within minutes of sitting down, you'll be greeted with a basket of warm, golden tortilla chips and a side of salsa - let me tell you, I could just sit there and eat chips and salsa all day! So what can you expect? Rapid service, great food, and almost certainly some to take home. Be aware that the restaurant is relatively small, so at peak times you may be waiting for a table for a while. But be sure, once you're seated, you'll be constantly taken care of till you're finished. If you haven't been here yet, come see what...
