I was a first time customer here and I was very impressed with the atmosphere, very cool building. Our waitress was top notch. The food however was lacking. For the price and buildup for the restaurant, I expected top notch food. We traveled from North Canton and expected to be blow away. The wine was excellent and they appear to be on point with their wine menu. For an app we ordered calamari which wasn't really anything impressive. Not much flair to it. My wife order the ahi tuna which was fully cooked and tough in some spots. I am not an Ahi Tuna expert, I went off of what she said. I ordered the 16 Oz prime rib. I have had prime rib/steak from all over the county and even in several parts of the word so I know whats what when it comes to how a steak or prime rib is supposed to be cooked. I ordered it medium rare, a warm pink center. The steak came out cold and tough. I sent it back to get warmed up a bit, came back cold again and asked to cancel it. The waitress came out with the chef/cook and she said she didn't want me to leave unhappy and comped the meal. Spectacularly, the prime rib came out as it was supposed to, warm, juicy, melt in your mouth bites you expect. The chef then went on to try to explain how a mid rare steak is to be cooked and agreed the center is cool but not the outside. He watched me cut and it and walked away before I took a bite. That was really weird, he clearly showed he was irritated with me. As I stated I have had steak all over the world, have worked in several restaurants and know how to treat a customer (and cook a steak), that chef is bringing down the restaurant a few notches. If they upgraded the man behind the menu, I could see this place being one of the best in Northern Ohio. As it stands now, the menu is mediocre and overpriced due to the sub-par product put out...
Read moreWe were there on Easter Sunday (4/4/21) and it was a horrible experience from beginning to end. Our waiter was frazzled, confused and didn't seem to be in control of anything. It was a 1 HOUR wait until we had food of any kind arrive at our table. By this time, we scarfed down the shrimp and fruit as if we've never seen food before. When the actual food started to arrive - it was cold, overcooked and with NO SERVING UTENSILS so we still had to sit there staring at the food with no way of getting it onto our plates. When one of the servers (not our main server) finally took away some dirty plates and said she would return with clean ones for two members of our party, she NEVER DID, so when the serving utensils FINALLY came, my husband and my nephew still couldn't eat because they DIDN'T HAVE PLATES. When the kielbasa and the ham were finally ready - platters of those were brought to the table, AGAIN WITH NO SERVING UTENSIL. So we took the serving piece out of the carrots and used that for the kielbasa dish. There were only 3 of us who wanted to try the ham - so we used our own extra salad forks to serve ourselves pieces of ham which were only slightly warm. The biscuits were brought out well before the gravy - so they were starting to get cold by the time the gravy arrived. The green beans were a mixture of old (drab colored) green beans mixed in with brighter colored green beans. The prime rib was so OVERDONE it was hard to even take any. When the desserts finally came, they were FROZEN. The manager had been around to the table promising to "make everything right" which consisted of a 10% taken off of the bill. This was an awful day. I haven't seen my Mom that mad in...
Read moreI don't typically write reviews but my experience today was that bad. My wife and I just had twin boys several weeks ago and we decided to get out of the house and go on a little date without the boys. We had decided to come to the Galaxy as we've been going for years and always had great service and food. Today was a total different experience. Our waitress was new and was very hard to understand. I had ordered a ½ salad and ½ turkey club sandwich and the wife ordered a steak Philly and a strawberry hard cider. After waiting for an hour for the food, which I completely understand the wait with COVID and the short staffing everywhere, I did not receive my salad. I told the girl who brought out my food that I was missing my salad, in which she brought it out after a couple minutes. I started eating my salad and ended up finding a bug in the salad so I pushed it to the side. I was a little grossed out but I was starving, so I ate the rest of the sandwich. When the waitress came back I told her that there was a bug in my salad, in which she said she would take it off the bill. I wasn't expecting my whole meal to be compted or anything but when the bill was brought back the salad was taken off and we were both charged a lot more than what the menu had advertised. Instead of being rung up for my ½ salad and ½ sandwich, I was charged full price for the sandwich. We ended up taking the bill to the bar, as our waitress was busy, only to receive $0.50 removed from the bill. After several frustrating minutes of trying to get the issue resolved with the manager, I put cash down to pay the bill and left. Extremely disappointing experience, in which I will not be returning for a...
