One thing I will say, in this world we arent perfect, but its the effort we put into it that separates us from the caring and not caring or just another paycheck attitude. I can tell you i been to so many Bob evans around Ohio and from my observation, of dining in and ordering and all. Is customer service, that will always be a hit in miss at any not just bob evans alot of the times we tend to hire friends of friends or of families or just to fill a spot. I know sometimes videos are shown on how to and how to go about but honestly that should be common sense. If customer service is not for you then you my friends are in the wrong business. Coming back to this restaurant like i said hit and miss u'll either get the good one or the bad one and cooks either good one or bad one. Food was Good, alot of the times I notice host is usually never at podium to have u seated, and waiters or one at cash register dont sit you cause they say not my job... no but its helping one another for God sakes you work for same company. We have alot going on outside of restaraunts and work so if your gonna be the waiter give ur full attention to the customer cater to them dont be with a bad mood face and then start walking off when your not even done ordering and then coming back forgetting several things that were asked in the order or waiting for your check until someone has to ask for it, there might be alot in their minds but we as customers go to these places to unwind and only other thing I get is bad service. Yes ill continue going to bob evans not this place but other because I love the food just not...
Read moreCame in around 7pm for dinner after work with my partner, for 2, hostess sat us down. Dinning room was empty, I honestly thought they were just about to close with the lack of people inside. Few minutes go by and a server checked out the table behind us, and walked past us. 7:15 comes around and all the servers are looking at our table confused/ side eyeing us. Servers anre bussing tables around ours and no one is talking to us, we even put our menus away to show that we are ready to order. Another group comes in after 7:30 sat down and immediately the same server is asking them for drinks. (Not sure if we were in her section but literally she checked out the table directly behind us, and started a new table with the one directly across us) We decided to leave since at this point everyone in the store looked at us and saw us but we did not get any communication besides the initial hostess. We left and I went over to let another server know, she had blonde hair and braids and was honestly really nice. She offered us pie but I declined since she was in a different section. I’m not sure how no one even checked on us, but was able to stare at us. Yes, if it wasn’t their table I understand that but then get the correct server or communicate to us...
Read moreLet’s start with the entrance’s filthy windows, definitely were not wiped down pre-shift or maybe this entire week and don’t think about sitting on those “cozy-looking” booths that have stains that came from some lower region and not immediately cleaned…. I get it guys, gross, but your responsibility.
The lack of organization in the entire restaurant clearly stems from the lack of leadership from the management level. Poorly trained staff and the inability to accommodate dietary restrictions is absolutely frustrating but let’s talk about the “Blue Ribbon Bacon” appetizer. 5 pieces of bacon appeared (although properly cooked) to have had the lid of black pepper accidentally fall off and if that manager was running the expo line (which she was) and saw that presentation and STILL sent it to a table I wonder what else she “doesn’t see” happening around her.
A $21 meal consisting of an awful bacon app and 2 coffees and 2 small orange juices, paired with the rest that occurred, was enough to say NO THANKS if ever asked to dine there again.
I’d change the slogan to “Where Something Grows” but pretty sure...
