This is a long review.
OLIVE GARDEN 1831 12600 Capital Blvd. Wake Forest, NC 27587 Check No: 829245 Table No: 421 Date: 03/20/2025 07:43 PM Server: Walter R
This is my personal review of my experience alone, although we dined with a group that totaled 19. We sat at two tables next to each other. Walter was our lead server, although 2 other servers assisted him. All the other people in our group were very happy with the service and the food. Unfortunately, my experience was not the same.
My wife and I were served by Walter and we were the first to give our orders to Walter. Everyone else at both tables got their food and had finished eating. I didn't get my food. No server came back to check on us until everyone at our table had finished eating. Then Walter finally asked if everything was ok. I had still not gotten my entree (cheese ravioli with marinara sauce). The cooks had not prepared my order and it was another 10 minutes before I was provided with my entree. As I began eating it, I realized that the the sauce was a meat sauce. I immediately told Walter about it. I have never eaten meat my entire life, and I do not like at all the taste of beef or pork - I am 73 years old. I was so hungry, I ate half of the entree even though I didn't like the taste at all. I was not offered anything as compensation, so I asked Walter if they were going to charge me for the entree ($17.99). He then said that he would take that off of the ticket.
I have eaten at Olive Garden many times over the years. The food was always good and so was the service. However, on this occasion I was very disappointed. As I said, there were 3 servers waiting on our group, so it wasn't because the staff was overworked or...
Read moreI had the worst experience at this particular Olive Garden. Very slow service and due to covid the restaurant was not even full. Only a hand full of customers were there. We arrived at 2:25pm and were immediately seated. We ordered right away because we knew what we wanted. We received our drinks, soup and salad promptly. The waitress was friendly but it took her forever to bring out our food and refills. Finally received our food at 3:10 after others that arrived after us received theirs and the order was not correct. Had to wait another 5 minutes for the waitress to return to correct the error. By that time our teas were watery and I became concerned about the service. I waited patiently until I had to say something. I asked another waitress walking by to please ask the manger to come over. The manager came over and was very nonchalant. Explained to the manager that due to the garlic bread having way to much garlic that I couldn’t eat my food I ordered. Explained all I could taste was garlic and that the waitress had not came back to replace them. I also expressed my concern about the slowness of the service and the food order being incorrect in the beginning. The manger reached down and took my plate from in front of me without asking or telling me she was going to do so. I felt violated. When I asked why she did that she stated that Olive Gardens policy is that if a customer doesn’t like their food that they have to take it away. I expressed that I never said I didn’t like the food and told her I felt it was very unprofessional they way she just took my food away from me. The manger was unprofessional and our visit was a disaster. Will never go there again. I really feel that we were being...
Read moreI used to love Olive Garden, but after this horrible experience I will never come back. My boyfriend and I were treated nicely until we decided to order never-ending soup, salad, and breadsticks. Our waiter became inattentive to us and we heard her begin gossiping to other waiters about us throughout the rest of the evening. When we received our salad she didn’t put the amount of cheese we requested and we had to ask her to come back. After 10 minutes she finally returned with the cheese. Bear in mind that it was 4pm and the restaurant was practically empty. She then returned and told us she was out of pasta e fagioli, which was the pasta we ordered. She then filled up my sweet tea with unsweet tea when I asked for a refill. She brought us minestrone, the soup we asked in replacement for the other one and we never tasted a soup from Olive Garden that was so awful. We ordered alfredo sauce to dip our breadsticks in and we could feel the texture of the unmelted parmesan. We asked for chocolate sauce with our donuts at the end of the meal and she brought raspberry. During our entire meal, she never cleared one plate from our table. By the end, we had no space and had to reach over dirty plates to eat our dessert. I have never felt so disrespected and inhuman at any restaurant before. I won’t be returning to any Olive Garden location or recommending anyone else to do so again as this experience twisted my perception of this restaurant into something...
