These associates SAVED MY LIFE after I went to their store a week prior and was given some less than adept information on what I needed to paint. I've done to a of painting, but not in a few years so I needed some help. The associate who helped me was not well informed on painting, so I was given recommendations for the wrong items.
The reason I am painting is because me and my boyfriend''s 1 year anniversary is tomorrow. I had to wait last minute to do everything because I had very bad whiplash last week and couldn't really do much.
I started to paint today, and realized he had not recommended the products I asked for. I called the store and explained the situation. They were very apologetic, and I left immediately to go get the correct items. They refunded me for the items and gave me a $25 gift card, which was ready for me when I got there. I know they didn't have to do that, so it was much appreciated.
A wonderful associate named Rachel helped me find the PERFECT items for my painting, and I am so excited for my boyfriend to see it. I was so upset that my painting didn't look good at all, but she gave me some paints in the correct colors that are PERFECT. Crisis avoided!
I'd you ever go to this store and need help with painting items, ask for Rachel. She is a pro
Now I am so much happier with my painting and I'm so excited for...
Read moreI walked in on 7/27/24 to see two, eventually three employees trying to help a little girl determine if her markers were the correct kind or not. Basically, two employees were just standing there watching while the third looked something up. I simply asked where the embroidery supplies might be and a bearded individual held up a finger, I assume indicating that I should be quiet and that he was uninterested in helping me at that time, as he said nothing further. I assumed one of the two people doing absolutely nothing could help me, but apparently not. It doesn't really matter if they have embroidery stuff anymore as I will be purchasing it elsewhere.
It seems that not only are the Michaels employees rude, but it takes three of them to perform any one task at a given time. One to do, two to...
Read moreI went to Michaels to purchase paint for an upcoming birthday party. I am the least creative person in the world and very intimidated when I walked into the store. I looked around for a moment and then saw someone that worked there and asked for help. She was able to lead me to the paints and stayed with me while searching for the write colors and types. She was very helpful even though she was trying to get some other work done. Afterwards, when I went to the register, the young lady at the register was soooooooo helpful and continued to make me feel like I knew what I was doing and sharing suggestions at the same time. So, I will always go to Michaels first when attempting to be creative because I know that there are experts there to help me when I don't know how to...
