I am extremely disappointed in the service. We called on Thursday to ask if we could order gluten free cupcakes for my daughterâs birthday on Sunday that we would pick up Saturday morning. We have ordered gluten free in advance many times before for church activities and family events we were trying to ensure that we didnât buy up all the gluten free so someone else could purchase something today. According to a recent google review listed 2 weeks ago by a Wes Meyers who had a gluten free birthday cake made for his wife, special orders on gluten free products was still more than possible, and we were not asking for a special order of a cake, just cupcakes which would be on the menu no matter what. However, when we called, we were told that Covid has created a gluten free flour shortage and due to this they are not able to take gluten free orders. We explained the situation of it being for our daughterâs birthday, and if we were going to purchase the item anyways why could we not simply ensure that we would have the cupcakes she wanted which were the GF red velvet cupcakes. We were then told that she would do her best and make sure to put the gluten free red velvet in the lineup. This morning at 10 AM we arrived to discover no gluten free red velvet cupcakes, only regular wheat flour red velvet. When we asked what happened, and why there were not GF red velvet cupcakes we were told âthe key word here was I would try to put them on the menu, but I canât do it if I donât have the ingredientsâ. Iâm irritated, disappointed and hurt because first we were told we couldnât pre-order because of a âgluten free flour shortageâ (which I would have completely accepted if that was true, but obviously it wasnât because the day of pick up, their reason changed to simply ânot having the ingredientsâ not a âGF flour shortageâ. Well apparently there was more than enough âgluten free flour ingredientsâ to make 4 different types of gluten free cupcakes- a strawberry cream, strawberry lemon, wedding cake, and chocolate vanilla flavors. All of those cupcakes share ingredients with red velvet (especially the GF flour which was the reason they told us as to why they would not let us pre-order) but apparently according to their words they âdidnât have the ingredientsâ SMH. I am seriously disappointed. I can look past the possibility that they didnât want to take our order in advance in case they could not get the gluten free flour but if you tell your customer that you would make sure if you have the flour that you would put gluten free red velvet in the days rotation you should hold true to your word. I have always ranted and raved to anyone I can about the great service and quality of product that I get from Sweet Traditions, but today I see they have no problems telling a bold faced lie to a customer, claiming they didnât have the âingredientsâ instead of simply saying âIâm sorry I really did forget I should have written it down or made myself a note, please accept...
Read moreI usually take the high road and never take the time to do a review, but after being so disappointed with the amateur style of professionalism, unfortunately this company has left me no choice. I tried to be nice, but sorry the gloves are off. After finding huge chunks of egg shells in multiple cupcakes at my childâs birthday party, the reply that I received from the owner was, and I quote â âIt looks like maybe one egg shell got in that batch! What is your address? I would like to send you a gift card for the cupcakes.â So after owning up to the mistake, I received no phone call, just an initial reply of oops sorry about finding egg shells in your cupcakes, here is a gift card for more cupcakes? After persisting that no, we would bot like a giftcard, we would like to be reimbursed instead, the owner finally agrees to reimburse $33 out of a total of $136.04 that we spent in total. When my husband goes by the shopto retrieve the reimbursement, the owner then face to face had the audacity to say âit could have been worseâ! Wow! So unprofessional. I know I can say I will take my business elsewhere and this owner obviously doesnât care, but if this review saves one customer from placing an order then my work...
Read moreSweet Traditions is the place to go if you are looking for sweets to eat that will NEVER make you feel like you wasted your money. The cupcakes are always moist, delicious and have just the right amount of icing on top. I have been going to Sweet Traditions before it was Sweet Traditions as a customer and ordering and picking up cupcakes at the owner's (Leanne) house. The cupcakes were delicious then and seem to be even better now. I love and look forward to the Wacky Wednesday treats and especially the mini pies. The coconut and chocolate mini pies are a "to die for" treat in addition to the cupcakes. I asked one day about the delicious coconut cake that my husband loves and wanted to purchase a cake for his birthday the next week. They made the coconut cake the following week. So much hospitality! Yes, it is a commercial place to buy cupcakes with a homemade taste and feel. You can never go wrong with a wedding cake cupcake, coconut slice of cake, and a strawberry lemonade cupcake, just...
