This is one of those places that unless you're a local you would never know existed. And that's why Google Local Guides is so awesome! Small mom and pop shops like this are what big cities are missing out on with their cookie-cutter chain store franchises with absentee owners and managers who only care about pushing as much product through the door as possible. Every meal here is made by hand by the owners and you can tell they love what they do. Did you ever notice how much better your grandmother's Thanksgiving meal tastes than the same thing that Boston Market makes 100,000 times a day? Practice should make it perfect but grandma cooks it with love. That's the best way for me to describe the food here! Not to mention the friendly service. I'm born and raised and still live a few towns over but I'm rarely in that area. I just found out about this place and went there for the first time a few weeks ago but I left feeling like I knew them for years. The locally raised owners take pride in their food, business and the community and it shows! From breakfast to dinner you there's unlimited choices (ALL of which are tasty as hell) and if it's not on the menu there's a good chance they will make it for you! Did I mention they have ice cream made in small batches by a family farm? If you ever find yourself on the NJ Transit Train and it stops in Waldwick do yourself a favor and run across the street and stop in. You can actually call them and they will meet you at the train with your order! You might even see the train Engineers getting delivery! Talk about the ultimate...

So I'm kinda hungry gettin' off the train and I go to get something and unfortunately the grill closes at six so be aware, but I totally understand why they do that, that's the end of prime time for the train trade.
But anyhow I'm kinda bummed and I think, well let me get a milkshake anyhow. So I get a chocolate shake and a cold pepsi for the ride home.
WOW! The shake was thick and chocolatey and smooth and delicious. Right now she's got this young fella she's training so that made me feel good because its good that young kids will still go out and get a job and somebody will take a chance on a kid and give 'em one.. The kid'll be fine, he can make a milkshake okay.
Oh, and the Pepsi! It was ice cold frosty. Man that hit the old spot. Cold and...
Read moreI have enjoyed this gem for over 15 years now. I order so frequently they know my voice when I call in my order.. They staff couldn’t be nicer, the food always tasty and hot, just the way I like it. Children are spoiled if they like trains. All the decorations have the train theme and there is even an entire G scale layout that has model trains running on the weekends weather permitting of course. They have an outdoor seating area plus a wooden train set for young children to play on. And since it’s near the NJ transit railroad, you may, if your lucky, see a real train roll on by. As far as masks, many of us are wearing them due to numbers of Covid-19 going up. So wear a non cloth mask while around others because other viruses are going around too. Stay safe everyone and thanks for...
