Very cute place. Tea served in very cute mushroom glasses with adorable honey pots & spoons to go with. Croissants looked amazing & I wish I had just ordered that instead of lunch. When we were there it was not busy, just 1 other table occupied. The avocado toast I got had what seemed like really runny guacamole out of a bag or jar, not fresh at all. The âtoastâ was soggy bread. Not at all toasted. I wanted to ask if they could somehow put it on toasted bread but there was no sign of the server the whole time. I couldnât pick it up so tried to eat with a fork & knife. Luckily one set of utensils (only one) was put down earlier because the server never came back to check on our table. Actually we were waiting to order while she sat at the table next to us chatting with someone & when we asked questions she continued to sit there & then we said we would like to order so she got up. I ordered the avocado toast without eggs and figured for the $17 price I would get at least $1 or $2 off for no eggsâŠor I would have asked for the eggs to go. But no, the full $17 was charged for it. The bill was $40 for 2 people who had 1 coffee, 1 tea, a yogurt/fruit/granola bowl & the avocado toast. Kinda shocking. I still left a decent tip but cringed about it & it would have been way more if the service or food was good or price was fair. I have been in the business so I know how it is & if given the chance I would have liked to ask for things to be fixed but with no sign of the server it wasnât possible & I couldnât wait around as we had to get going. I am not one to write reviews or complain about pricing if the food & service is good and if the server comes around and we can fix things before itâs too late. It just seems unreasonable since I didnât have a chance to ask for better âtoastâ or to question the price since we never saw the server again & a different person came to deliver the bill who didnât seem to understand English well so I just paid up & decided this was not a place to visit again for lunch. Croissants to go maybe!! But I probably...

Read moreDisappointing Visit After Multiple Positive Experiences I've visited this cafe multiple times before, always on weekdays, and had great experiences. Unfortunately, my recent weekend visit was disappointing. These problems stemmed from a particular hostess/manager whom I encountered for the first time. Called ahead to ensure they can sit a party of 8 including kids. 10 minutes later when we got there we requested outdoor seating due to the play area, but were told the chairs were wet. And offered us window seating inside to watch the little kids from afar. Yet, 30 minutes later, other patrons were seated outside. My child accidentally dropped his fun straw however was informed only 1 straw per kid was allowed (despite many being visible on the counter.) My aunt had to explain his straw dropped. The same staff member (hostess) even hovered over them watching them pick another straw, making the situation uncomfortable. *While the food and coffee were delicious, and our table waitress was lovely, and what I was hoping would be a nice cafe to share with my out of town family, these negative experiences with the hostess overshadowed the meal.
I hope this feedback is helpful in improving future visits...
