We went here for our anniversary dinner in New York City!

We were not too hungry and wanted something light so this place turned out to be perfect.

We started with the happy hour oysters--6 for $12 including a beer. We got two of those and the Stony Brook oysters were excellent. Large, no aftertaste, super fresh.

We then proceeded to a few shared plates although the portions are easily big enough for one person. I got the cured salmon and loved it. Huge portion, salmon was very light and not all salty. The wife ordered the uni and it was a bit old as indicated by its flavor, but it was still good. Then we split a lobster ceviche. It was very light and flavorful but did not taste at all like lobster.

Our server was attentive and helpful.

The place is small so expect a wait for a table during happy hour.

It also is very loud so it is hard to converse.

The food was great like always but if you are going to have someone on the register make it someone that actually likes their job because that is the first face customers see and what I saw when I came in there was a red bearded man that didn’t ask me what I want or even said hello just stared at me until I started ordering. He always was very rude when I didn’t understand something he said and when I asked him to repeat himself he yelled it again out of frustration and with no apology or nothing. I didn’t even know if my order was submitted at that point. Don’t ask for a drink cup because he will just tell you rudely that’s its right in front of you. So next time you have someone in the front of the store maybe make it someone that has a little bit better customer service or someone that actually cares about their job and try and wants to be...

Extremely rude. Gentleman with the red beard acted like I was wasting his time just by having a pulse. Was stuffing a bag of chips in his face the entire time I was trying to order, and then started talking to the girl behind him while I was ordering and then asked me to repeat myself and was really loud and obnoxious (not to mention the chips all in his beard) was going to eat inside but went and ate in the car because I’d rather eat in 90 degree heat than sit in there for any amount of time.
