TLDR: IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME AND MONEY, GO ELSEWHERE
This Biggby experience was the “nail in the coffin” of my history of terrible Biggby experiences that has finally convinced me to NEVER return to ANY Biggby location.
Yes, we recognize that this is a Saturday morning at 10:45 and that the drive through was full and when we entered, there was a line of people waiting for their drinks, and we were second in line to order.
We ordered a Decaf Teddy Bear with coconut Milk, a Mocha Mocha with no whip, an egg and cheese bragel and a cup of macarons.
While we were there, we witnessed a completely overworked and incompetent staff struggle (apparently without a manager on the busiest day of the week) to get through online orders, drive through orders, in-store queue orders and DoorDash orders. After a while of waiting after ordering, we noticed many people approaching the employees and asking how long they thought it would be - At that point, we had been waiting about 15 minutes. Several drink orders had been missed and people were growing impatient and starting to grumble.
We originally planned to be at Biggby at 11, but decided to get there 15 min earlier so that we could make it on time to our destination out of town. However, we started thinking we would have to leave the cafe, when after 30 minutes, we hadn’t received our order and worried that we would be late.
After 35 minutes, my drink came out, and when I grabbed it from the counter, it was cold- but not because I ordered it that way. 🥶 Fortunately, there was a microwave by the napkins/stirsticks/straws, and I was able to nuke it for a min.
My sandwich came out, and then we waited another couple minutes before asking about whether our second drink was missed. It was, so they told us they would remake it. We finally got the second drink after waiting a total of 45 minutes, by which time we were late for our meeting. We unfortunately witnessed whipped cream being put on top of the second drink, after repeating that it was supposed to be a “no-whip” drink, so we grabbed a stir stick to scrape out the whip into the trash.
The macarons were fine, but not anything I’d order again- they were sort of sickly sweet- makes sense as they’re mass produced by the chain (lesson learned). The sandwich was cold, the bagel was chewy and the cheese congealed to the bagel’s edge by the time I got to eat it, as we had waited about ten minutes from the time I received it to the time our full order was ready, since they had given our drink to someone else/missed the order. The coffees were fine, but as I stated earlier, mine was cold from the get go and I had to microwave it.
I was thinking that I’ve, in fact, never actually received good service from a Biggby chain location: I have often waited up to 20 minutes for my coffee when there was no one in the store (no cars in the lot) and I’m the only person in line through the drive through I have received the wrong order on multiple occasions I have been made to feel badly when I say “no” to tipping before I receive my order, because I’d like to actually see that my order is fulfilled correctly (it almost never is).
It was at that moment when I decided that I’ve given Biggby multiple chances, since the days when it was called “Beaner’s” 🤣 and that enough of my time and money has been wasted on a company that cannot get it together. There are never enough people working, the staff (at every location I’ve ever been to) looks like they’d rather die than work, and I’m over it. I realized that my returning to Biggby after years of bad experiences was playing into the definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
Pro tip: Skip Biggby completely. Skip Starbucks. Visit any local coffee shop and I can guarantee that they will value your business with higher quality products and service. Or seriously, just make coffee at home instead. It’ll take 3 minutes and you’ll get exactly what...
Read moreTerrible service, they have an incompetent worker training someone who has no clue on how to put ice in the blender, her trainer and the girl responsible for making my girlfriend and I wait 40 minutes was yelling across their working station to tell her how. We had to have my coffee remade twice as the girl training had no clue what she was doing, and was getting now help from her trainer they completely burnt one of our bagels, the trainer stated she “didn’t know how that happened.” She continuously cried when patiently being asked by several customers what their wait time on drinks were, a door dasher who waited 35 minutes for her order asked for the DoorDash slip, the trainer then said she would grab it in one moment, presiding to make the girl wait another 5 minutes with melting drinks- before crying and yelling that she didn’t know how to giver her what she needed. The door dasher was so calm, she asked if there was anyone the workers could call as she needed a photo of the receipt, the worker claimed there was no one to call or help. She went onto complain to her trainee that they were going to have “so many negative reviews.” And they had a laugh like making the three consumers in there waiting a collective 90 minutes was the...
Read moreI love Biggby! But this was a horrible experience. I sat in the drive-thru for 20 minutes just for a coffee and bagel sandwich, which would’ve been fine if it was actually busy. There was a single car in front of me who had gotten one coffee (not a big order). When I finally got to the window, the service was still horrible. After waiting another 5 minutes for my sandwich, I left. When I took a sip of my coffee it wasn’t even what I’d ordered, and my sandwich was completely wrong as well. I am never one to complain, but after all that waiting and the lack of customer service, and on top of that my entire order was wrong… I decided to go in and ask for a refund. They begrudgingly offered a remake, but because I was already on a time crunch due to sitting in the drive-thru for way too long, I turned it down and asked for a refund. They said they could only have a manager do it. Which to me is a bit ridiculous. If only a manger can issue a refund, there should be a manager on every single shift. Overall very bad experience and I would never recommend anyone go to this location, until they...
