We made an online order of roughly $200 - 7 pizzas, bread sticks, wings etc. for my sons birthday party directly through their website (not Uber Eats, Door Dash etc.), the day before the party; we scheduled the delivery for 11:30am. By 12pm, the food still had not arrived and we called for an update. Around 20 minutes later, a driver not affiliated with Papa John's arrived. Upon receiving our order, we realized only half of it was included. The driver let us know that the Papa John's manager offered him $15 to drop off the food and he doesn't really know anything about our order. We called the store and explained that our food was not only almost an hour late, but only half of the order was delivered. At this point, we have about 20 starving 4-year olds and their parents waiting for food! The staff told us the receipt must have cut off half way through printing and since they made what they saw on the receipt, it wasn't their problem that half the order was missing and they would not finish the order. Worst customer service ever! Do not online order from this place! We called corporate and filed a formal complaint as well as got a full refund on the order, but it didn't solve the problem of not having enough food for our...
Read moreWhat a terrible experience I had today! Papa johns was our family’s pizza place in Walnut Creek. We always order pizza on the phone and sometimes have to order super Hawaiian pizza in the store, because their specialty pizza promotion code only for in store ordering. So as usual I ordered two specialty pizzas, but this time they just can’t add stuffed crust on my orders( of course extra cost, we’re done the same thing at least 20 times) and plus they charged me two different prices and tried not give me the recipe in the end.( cause I can’t see any details when I paid). I asked and saw that receipt then found out only one order applied the promotion code. I went back ask why is that, they told me it’s limit one order at a time?! But why didn’t you tell me at the beginning? I had your flyer on hand and ordered two specialty pizzas with the price on there! Then you just decided give me another price! ? What a joke! Listen, I don’t want to force you to do anything please at least do the same thing to your customers! you know you’re doing the neighborhood business right? I can see how you ruined your business and thanks to you that I have to explore other pizza places in Walnut...
Read moreThe first time I made my own pizza it was done soooo right! I could tell that whoever made it put care into it.
A month later I ordered the same exact thing and the cut was wrong, the peppers were old and thrown into the box next to the pizza so when I got them they were leather! Worst of all the dough was raw, i had to AirFry the slices before eating! *I chose well done and square but received a raw pie.
I was excited about this place but now I’m hesitant. It’s not the restaurant’s fault, there’s different shifts with some people that care and some that don’t!
With that in mind I hope Management identifies where the lack of quality is coming from and retrains the staff on how to properly handle and cook food made for others to eat.
$30 wasted!
