Dimitrio's House of Pizza — Restaurant in Walterboro

Went in to get a gyro, asked for chicken instead of the beef/lamb meat. Very rude lady (I think she was the owner/boss because others were answering to her) VERY nastily told me when I asked for this that they don’t make anything except for exactly what’s on the menu, exactly how it’s written on the menu, no exceptions... so like what if I was allergic to lamb or beef. She also told me this the second I asked before they even handed me a menu, then demanded that I order from the menu right then... as if i was supposed to know what was on the menu before looking at it. I took one look at the menu and decided it wasn’t worth it to me to pay for something that wasn’t what I wanted, just because this rude lady made me feel bad for wanting chicken instead of beef, so I informed her that she should be nicer to her customers and left. Will not be recommending...

Umm 1st off my mother works there and she's the best at what she does! She has worked there for 20years so she knws wht she doing! The owners are very nice and sweet & believe in the CUSTOMER'S COME 1ST! So who ever thinks that, that place was bad needs 2 STFU bc DIMITRIOS HOUSE OF PIZZA is the best... yeah there not cheep... but if u knw u cant afford it then dont walk through the front door & then go home & complain abt it! Cheerful, attractive atmosphere with lots of bright windows, the friendliest & most attentive waitresses in Walterboro, which says a lot about the owners. Food is authentic Greek pizzas (thin crust, not NY style) and great subs, especially the steak. With so few Real (i.e., non-chain) restaurants in WB, Dimitrio's is highly appreciated & a popular lunch spot. Off exit 57 if coming from the interstate. If I ever have to drive thru SC, it's nice to know there's a decent restaurant here to look forward to, becz there is absolutely zero places to eat between here & Florida on 95 (fast-food & chain are not restaurants)
