Franco's Pizzeria and Pub — Restaurant in Waltham

The food is great. Have ordered from here several times. Never will again. Pizza didn't show up for 45 min past the time it was supposed to have been delivered. No notification that it even went out for delivery. We called to check on it and the person who answered the phone was extremely rude. Refused to look the order up by order number or even name on the order and told me both pieces of info were "useless" to him. When we finally figured that out he told me, "It went out of here 20 mins ago and should be there soon. That's all I can tell you." We finally found the pizza just left on our doorstep, cold, because nobody could be bothered to so much as ring the doorbell. Sorry I ordered, sorry I called to check, sorry I bothered to leave a useless delivery...

Being a neighborhood establishment means you get some good with the bad (the food is solid when you can actually get your hands on some), but it's disappointing to be new to the area and be treated with such lackluster service.

Full disclosure, their online ordering system will process at all times - even if they have sent their kitchen staff home. Save yourself the hassle when it's late night and order food elsewhere, because they will not care that you took the time to check out the "regular spot" for locals and will walk away empty-handed.

They believe there will always be clientele that will stop in because of their history, but if you burn enough bridges on Moody - there are options...

Franco's has absolutely the best pizza in Waltham, and for miles around. I've had their eggplant parmigiana too, which is also excellent. This is also one of my favorite places for karaoke. They have had karaoke consistently every week for over 20 years. It started with the original owners (Cafe Berlotte's) carried on when the Francos bought it, and carried on under the current ownership, who deserve a lot of credit for continuing the tradition of good times.
