This was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Unfortunately, we made the decision to go here hungry because it took us 2 hours from the time we sat down to get our food, this is not an exaggeration. Something to note I called ahead to see if there was a wait and I was told no. There was no wait to sit down just to eat apparently. It took us 30 minutes just to get our drinks. We were not the only ones the people we sat near the beginning were getting there food around the same time. Although interestingly enough I could see people at the bar coming and going. It made me feel like there was a preference. Anyways we asked patiently at an hr wait if they had a status on our food. The owner said that “ I don’t have enough guys in the kitchen and I am understaffed I don’t know what you want me to do”. I almost walked out at that point but I felt bad for our server she was very polite. After asking again the status 30 minutes later we were told it was coming right out and 30 minutes after that we received our food. Our food was not good at all. None of it, there’s that saying worth the wait which with all these glowing reviews I was expecting a 5 star rating experience at least. We asked for the check right away with the food and he never brought it. My eggs were gross unseasoned, I make better box pancakes than what I ate. The bacon was over cooked. The owner came over and offered us a pastry for our troubles maybe 15 minutes in and we were grossed out by the food. We asked him for the check again. Then he said “the food was good thought right?” We we’re so ready to get out and uncomfortable that we reluctantly agreed. But the pastry was not good either! It then took us another 30 minutes waiting for our check to do the math ourselves and leave cash behind. People probably feel bad for this guy and don’t leave him a bad review because he is kinda nice and he gives a pity story to everyone. But, It’s not nice to seat people you can’t serve. It’s not nice to lie and say there is no wait. There is a very simple solution to being understaffed. You only seat the people you can feed. If you can’t feed them for 2 hours you have to let them know. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. Arrived at 8:30 left at 11:45 I kid you not....

Heidi's Restaurant is an example of a local, neighborhood restaurant that has been able to flourish despite all that gets thrown at businesses in the hospitality industry. It has a modern, clean feel in a traditionally-decorated place.
The modern feel is balanced out by decent prices on breakfast and lunch, with enough selection to create complex meals, and satisfy all your basic cravings. The most crucial detail of Heidi's is how they serve the working class by opening early enough to feed the early morning shift. Their opening hours are 5:00 AM as of December, 2019.
The coffee is good for a neighborhood restaurant, with traditional styrofoam as the basic to-go container medium. Based on my quick observations, I would hesitate to include in this review a sustainability report.
Staff were extremely kind and lively, you can see that this operation is a long standing labor of love. Try this out just for its ability to feed a hungry person early in the morning, to sit on a stool and talk with the locals before a good...

One of my pet peeves are when the chairs and tables wobble. This should be an easy fix, but the owner and waitresses don't seem to notice. The tables are especially annoying, as my drink spills all over the table after one wobble. LET'S FIX THIS!
I also noticed that when the waitresses clean-off a table, they wipe the food/crumbs from the table onto the floor. That way, the customers walk on the food and the food gets ground into the floor and the soles of their shoes. HELLO!! Might it be possible to wipe the food from the tables into some kind of receptacle to avoid it ending-up on the floor?
Lastly, after I finish my breakfast, I have to wait FOREVER for my check. So, instead of waiting for the waitress to bring me the bill, I get up and walk to the cashier's booth and give the waitress the money. This saves me a good 10 - 15 minutes. I have things to do!
Remember: There's always room for...
