Went here for the first time today. My boyfriend said he had not been to this place since its previous location in Harvard Square. Unfortunately they were so busy that they were not doing lunch dishes that day - so we will have to come back to try those another time, because everything on the menu sounded so good! We each got a different one of the 'Little Dog' plates, with eggs, bacon, and pancakes or French toast. Also ordered the fruit cup with yogurt and honey on a whim, and it made us very happy! It is absolutely worth the money, there's at least 7 different types of fruit in it, all hand-cut, not from a can, some of which I can remember: mango, figs, redcurrants, blueberries, kiwi, peaches... So if you want a really fancy fruit cup, get it here :)
All the yummy breakfast food we had on our Little Dog plates was so tasty, perfectly soft and golden pancakes and French toast, delicious crispy bacon. It really hit the spot. There are 3 older guys here that must be the owners, and they were cooking and cleaning up and making sure everyone was happy! Can't wait to come back and try more...
Read moreThis is my favorite breakfast location in Waltham. This feels like a diner and much of the menu reflects that, but there are interesting additions and surprises. Their fruit salad is always fresh cut when you order, and full of delicious and exotic selections for a diner (dragonfruit, goldberries, white raspberries, persimmon, i have found these in my salad on different trips), the eggs are always cooked perfectly, and the coffee is hot and fresh. I noticed a couple of negative comments regarding the staff. I felt there was a bit of a cool reception the first time I ate here. But I ignored it and treated everyone behind the counter like I do everyone one I meet. The folks here are friendly and helpful. They do not hover, they are no-nonsense. This is also a busy place being run by a smal staff....THEY HUSTLE! They will be as warm as you are to them. You take your time and when you are ready....speak up! Try it out. We love it, we are delighted Leo's moved from Harvard...
Read moreI had high hopes for this place given other reviews and ended up very disappointed. We were seated right away, but the hostess had to take a menu from another table (who had yet to order) so she could give us one. I requested two eggs on the side with my meal, but was told I couldn't have just two eggs. The restaurant was maybe two-thirds full by the time we ordered, and our breakfasts (two meals) took 35 minutes to cook and be served. We were waited on by both servers and requested refills more than once and never got them. The food was subpar (no way was this breakfast worth $30 between the two of us), and we had to request our check after sitting with empty plates (and glasses) in front of us for ten minutes. When we tried to cash out, my credit card was somehow charged and extra $3.00 from the check we were given. The server corrected it by giving me $3.00 cash instead of figuring out why then amounts on the two checks...
