Very disappointing! We live in Triple Crown and were excited to try a new sit down restaurant close by, especially since there are so few of them. We went with my son and daughter in law to try it out. I will say the service was very good and prompt, and our waitress Maddie was very sweet. They brought all of our meals out, except for my sons and told him that the prime rib he ordered medium was not available and that they only had well done prime rib. He didn't want well done prime rib (who would?) so they brought him another menu to make another choice...this after everyone else had their food! Why wouldn't you bring this news to the patron right after ordering instead of waiting until everyone else's food was served??? My son then ordered a strip steak medium and a baked potato. We hated to eat in front of him, but he insisted we do so. When we were halfway through our meals they bring his steak...its is barely cooked and is extremely rare. The waitress acts very shocked and embarrassed and takes it back. A few minutes later they bring it back and it had obviously been microwaved...it was steaming! My son ate it, after we were all finished with our meals of course, and said it was very tough and had a lot of fat. I had the pineapple chicken with a side of broccoli. The chicken was ok, but the broccoli had no flavor at all, very bland. My DIL ordered the chicken bruschetta and it was very dry, small and her baked sweet potato was burned. My husband ordered the strip and said Long Horn or Texas Roadhouse had nothing to worry about (his favorite is Walt's). My son asked at the end of the meal if they would take something off the bill for the debacle that was his "dining experience" and our sweet waitress said she would ask her boss. She came back and told us her boss refused to make any concessions on the bill because they "eventually got the order right." We didn't burn the waitress on the tip as it wasn't her fault, for good service we always give 20% and sometimes more, but we won't be going back. I guess they figure they will get enough business from people passing through on I-75 and don't have to worry about customer service. I wish we would get a good family owned non-chain restaurant near us that actually cared about quality and service, but maybe that's just a thing of the past now. We're heading to...
Read moreThe menu boasts great food with great prices but it doesn't deliver. I sent my steak back initially because it was 2 different temperatures. I ordered medium because the waitress says that the cooks were having problems getting them right. (I wanted medium well). Boy was she right. The second steak came out and this time i ordered medium again and it was evenly cooked but had no seasoning whatsoever!!! Not one grain of salt or pepper. It was like it trying to eat a boiled piece of meat that was tasteless. The manager never came to talk to me to see if there was something he could do whether it be change my meal, give a discount for my issues. Instead some guy brought out the new steak and asked me too cut it to see if it was ok and of course it was at that time but I hadn't tasted it. We were a party of 4 and all 3 steaks had to be sent back. We received cold rolls. Asked for them and didn't get them until we were about to leave. The sweet tea was caramel color watered down "tea". For almost $4 we never even asked if we needed more. The salad bar was the best thing at the restaurant. It was exceptional!! Maybe the steaks should be the afterthought and the salad the star of the establishment. Its just a thought to be considered. I personally wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone for their steaks nor management to come see about their guests' dining experience. Any new and good business would have management walking around asking the guests if everything was ok so far. Needless to say, that was the worst $21.50 I ever spent! I forgot to mention that the baked potato...
Read moreWhat a great find! In our way back to Ohio and decided to stop somewhere for dinner. Glad it was here. We ordered the sheriff (20oz sirloin) with cheese fries. A 6oz sirloin with asparagus and the kids menu sliders with cheese (they come plain) and fries. The steaks were cooked exactly to order. Medium rare for the sheriff and medium for mine. Not over seasoned. Since it was Sunday I caught the Sunday special meaning my side was not only perfectly cooked asparagus but also an unlimited salad bar. The salad bar has both romaine iceberg mix and the spinach mix for lettuce choices. All the fixings and then there are pastas. I sampled them all just to provide this review. Coleslaw is a sweet slaw Broccoli salad also a sweet salad Corn salad has a midwestern flair but good The potato salad! Red potatoes and a nice herb garlic flavor Pesto pasta was ok. I’m not a fan but it was good. They also have cottage cheese and fruit on the bar. Well worth the trip. Our server was an absolute treasure. He forgot a few things here and there but nothing to panic over. Overall very happy with the cleanliness of not only the outside but the inside. The bathrooms. Very well maintained. The music isn’t blaring. Just loud enough to hear it but not overpowering. The kids menu has a variety Burgers, steak bites, chicken, Mac and cheese, salad bar. Great choices! Only thing I would say is bring a kids cup (we had already preplanned as we were traveling) they do have lids for the cups but maybe this is something they can add later. Anyways stop...
