I really don’t like giving somewhat negative reviews to local businesses, but I was really disappointed with my latest experience here. We got 3 regular size cups of ice cream and they were honestly the chintziest scoops I’ve ever bought from a scoop shop (if you’ve ever been to Tanner Bros when their counter was open, you know those cups were filled and then some). I included two pictures of what they consider a regular size, or ā€œtwoā€ scoops— at $5.75 a cup, the amount of ice cream you get is laughable. I get that the economy is rough right now, but that’s ridiculously overpriced. It’s good ice cream, sure, but as someone else said, I’d also much rather spend that on a pint of Ben & Jerry’s. Regarding taste, the cookies and cream left a weird residue on the roof of my mouth, which means it was likely over-churned. Also seemed like it was freezer burnt. The coconut and coffee caramel crunch were good at least, though it’s too bad we didn’t get to enjoy it for very long considering the serving size. Regarding customer service, the guy who was working put two flavors in the same cup instead of separate ones because he didn’t take the time to actually listen to what I was saying. On top of that, he barely said anything during the ordering process; it was just weird service overall. We had bought Uncle Mike’s a few times during the pandemic and I guess I just looked past the serving size and price because it was a difficult time for a lot of businesses, but unfortunately, I don’t think I will be coming back here again.

Ice cream is my weakness, so when I noticed this shop before I had a 40 minute drive home, I knew a milk shake would hit the spot. Uncle Mike's didn't disappoint. I tried the peanut butter bomb milkshake, & it was delicious. They said the ice cream is made on site & they had quite a few flavors to choose from (with samples available). I talked with whom I believe were Mike's parents minding the store, very friendly & I love to support a family owned business. They have seating available, a small freezer with take home tubs and a few ice cream cakes. I would recommend stopping by for a treat if you're in the area, I will go back for sure.

This was some of the worst & most expensive ice cream I’ve ever had. I thought Ben & Jerry’s was too expensive at $7.50 but this terrible ice cream was $8.50. Thinking it has to be good if it’s home made. I’ve had some bad ice cream but this was by far the worst ice cream I’ve ever had. I went to sprinkles in Elkins Park for years. If you want real ice cream go there. Hell, Wawa and Aldi ice cream is far better than this garbage. I’m actually going to throw it away and just get Ben and Jerry’s. At least I know it’s good. Seriously, the worst ice cream I’ve ever had.

Won't go back. First time here and walk up to the door and there is a guy standing in front of the door just standing there. I say excuse me and he turns around and says he's blocking people from going in. There are about six people inside with lots of empty space?!?! We finally figure out he is the owner and he is controlling how many people can be inside at once. It's really hot outside but we wait patiently. We are finally let in and continue to wait as the service is really slow. My wife orders a two scoop cup and I order a milkshake. The young man serving us seems to be in no rush to help out and apparently he can't make shakes so my wife gets her cup and we move down the counter a bit to get out of the way and wait for my shake. We are then told to go outside and wait. Soooo, we go outside and wait and wait. By the time I got my shake my wife's cup was melting. Prices are high and the servings are small. The whole experience was awkward and strange. Uncle Mike would be better served going inside and helping out to serve and move more people than standing outside serving...

As far as the ice cream goes, pretty good, which made up for horrible customers service and policies. As a 1st time guest, I asked for a sample to which I was directed to a sign stating NO SAMPLES. 9 of us were waiting to be served by one hostess while 2 others began serving others who came in after us. I placed two orders and attempted to have them handed to me so we could enjoy them before they melted, only to be told we couldn't eat them until all orders were taken and paid for...while the hostesses continued serving other customers instead of the remaining 7 in our party. Then " uncle Mike" entered and told our party that unless they were being served, they had to wait outside. (Again, while other hostesses failed to serve our group and served others instead). By the time they finished the last order, the earlier ones were melted bowls of ice cream sitting on the counter because we couldnt have them yet. What a joke!

Certainly a...
