On 06/24/2025 I placed an order through the app for pickup. I arrived right as my order was finished and being placed in the pickup area. Drove 10 minutes back home to eat. One item tasted like it was very old and was missing part of the ingredients, and the chicken I bit into tasted raw.
I called up to the store and they advised me to bring it back for a refund. So, I drove back, another 10 minutes back there. When I arrived there was no one at the counter and 1 car in drive-thru. This was around 7:00pm 06/24/25 if you want to see who was on duty.
The manager said she would be with me in a minute. I watched the staff take and make several orders and the manager just kept working on orders of people. I waited 10 minutes, then finally had to raise my voice to ask, "Do I have to stay here for you to process the refund, or is the returned food and receipt enough to leave with you?"
The manager said she was not giving me a refund until she inspected everything, then proceeded to go back to other work and ignoring me. I told her I had other food to go get since I had to return this food. I advised her to process the refund, or I would dispute it on my card.
That manager's customer service is garbage. I was not even upset when I arrived to return my food, but I was pretty pissed at 30+ minutes of wasted time and a rude manager.
UPDATE: As you can see, they responded to my complaint with a link to contact them. I followed the link and its prompts. There was never a response or resolution after doing that. Read moreI can't comment on the food as my first visit to any Hardee's was this one. I made a mobile order through the app, but I was asked at the Drive Thru intercom upon arriving one night that the grill was burning all the burgers, and an employee asked if I could request a refund through the app.
I did not see any option to request a refund on the app, I had to go to the Hardee's website to fill out a complaint/comment form to request a refund (which I did the same night). While the order showed as "Complete" on the app despite never receiving it, after submitting my complaint on the website, I did receive an email within 72 hours that the card I used to pay for the order will be refunded.
While I definitely appreciate the honesty and transparency of the employee that spoke to me at the drive thru, it was still an inconvenience that night as it was past 9pm and I was hungry. I ended up making a mobile order on the Burger King app and picking up food from another competitor instead.
I guess the only thing I do wonder is why the order couldn't be "canceled" on the app so I could get a refund much faster, if not immediately. But I guess it's Hardee's corporate policy to process requests for refunds through a more tedious way.
I'll try again to order from this Hardee's in the future, and hopefully I'll finally have a chance to taste what their burgers, fries, and shakes are like as I am now curious.

Read moreI have to say this has been my favorite Hardees restaurant, however, today was the worst service and food product that I have ever had. I sat in the drive thru for at least 2 minutes, I was about to drive away. Then the gentleman taking my order kept laughing and joking with girls while taking my order. I ordered 2 sandwiches. He never gave me my total or told me to drive around. I took it on myself to drive around. There was a car waiting in front of me who obviously had a problem with her order, as well. I drove to my office, less than 4 minutes away. Both sandwiches were cold and the chicken sandwich was burnt and dry. It was disgusting. If I had any time left on my lunchbreak I would have gone back and given them the sandwiches and asked for a refund. This happened about 11:35 a.m., November 16, 2021, at the Hardees at 2829 Watson Blvd. You can look through the receipts for the day and see my order of a cheeseburger and a chicken sandwich. I used to love going in the mornings for a chicken biscuit. The ladies working were always so friendly. I do not like this lunch crew. I guess you just have to hire whoever wants a paycheck but doesn't have pride in themselves...
