Del Taco — Restaurant in Centerville

I wish I could give Del Taco 5 stars... It is one of my favorite fast food restaurants all the way back to my teenage years when we had the "OG" Del Taco restaurants up in Macon (there wasn't one in WR until a couple of years ago... The "newfangled" one... We had Gray Hwy and Bloomfield in Macon way back when... And "The Combo Cup & Chips" 👅 😋❤️ be still my beating ♥ 🥰 😘 you can kinda sorta put together a few different items on the new menu to re-create a Combo Cup & Chips, but it's not on the new menu and if the right person isn't at the drive thru window, well, you're better off just ordering something on the menu this time and save the special order for another day... I went to Del Taco this past Tuesday which is Taco Tuesday... Was just gonna grab a couple tacos and some chips & dip after tanning on the way home... only one car ahead of me but it took quite a bit of time for them to place their order (5 minutes?), pulled up as they pulled to window and sat there for about a minute and finally said "Hello?" A very exasperated female voice said sharply "Go ahead with your order"... Pretty much downhill from there but placed order and got to window and recognized the woman who slid the door open and asked me for $15.59 for 2 tacos and chips with salsa and cheese??? I did ask for a side of guac and tea, tobit the young lady had rang up 3 separate orders ochips and salsa, chips and cheese dip, and chips with guacamole... I asked TWICE FOR ONE ORDER OF CHIPS & CHEESE WITH A SIDE OG SALSA AND GUAC... AND A TEA WITH EXTRA LIME... TEA HAD NO LIME AND 1 LEMON... I explained that I felt like the order was incorrect based on the price and the supervisor went over it, corrected the mistakes, and it was only $13...still pricey for 2 tacos and chips with dip... But good food... She took my drink and asked her to just add some limes to it...when I got homr she had put 2 MORE LEMONS... NOT A SINGLE LIME STILL!

The order taker was new and apparently the car ahead had issues with their order, too... And she vented her frustration with them all over me... Which didn't help her at all given that she was new and wasn't proficient yet in the position... So it just made an already tough situation tougher... I felt she was new so tried to keep that in mind but even a new person can BE NICE... it makes a world of difference!

I will be back and hope she...

I'm not sure what happen to this Del Taco location but the food quality and taste isn't good like it use to be back in 2017 when I first started coming here for Taco's.

The food order I received today especially the soft taco and bean and beef burrito was thrown all together in to the bag and just handed to me by the staff. All they seem to care for is the manager going off about how a customer called in to complain about his food order there is a time and place for this and not where all the customers can hear him gripping about something that could have been easily handled and fix. Basically the conversation that the staff members were just going on and on about nothing work related or how the food and orders were handled especially mine and two other customers that was waiting on their order to.

The beef for the burritos and tacos were heavenly seasoned in which the staff should tell the customers that may have a food high allergy to certain food items instead carrying on with other staff members about going somewhere on vacation.

Overall experience here at this Del Taco this place needs serious improvements about how they prepare customers food orders no matter what the food item the customer orders not everyone in the world wants to eat a sloppy made burrito and soft tacos and watch the heavy language there was children present...

This took place about 3 weeks ago or so and was somewhere between 9pm and 11pm. The drive thru one of those drive thrus tthat don't allow for someone to just pull out of the line if they change their mind after placing the order. You're pretty much stuck in the line until after you get your food unless you manage to somehow convince the cars behind you to back out of the line and allow it, but that isnt something that would happen easily or at all most likely. After the line moved incredibly slowly (unacceptably slowly) I finally managed to place my order. Then after more waiting in line for at least 15 or 20 min for only 3 cars to go, I finally get to the window and try to hand the woman my card. She stated that they were taking cash only. I was irate after sitting in line for a solid 20 or 30 min total only to get to the window to be told cash only and after being told that i asked why I wasn't told that at the speaker she said "well she was supposed to" with an attitude "she" being the one who took the order and was standing next to her getting drinks, didn't even so much as say sorry or anything. In fact no one did. I asked her name and unfortunately don't remember the names, but I'll never go back to del taco again. It was my first experience at a del taco and will definitely be my last. It's unfortunate that I never got to...
