The first time I saw this place I saw that it was supposed to be southern food so I thought oh this is going to be really good. I got a chicken sandwich and upon eating it I wish I had just gone to McDonald's and gotten a McChicken because it had more flavor. Over the weekend The Weekend I decided to go there again since I was on that road and there wasn't anything else on that side of the road where I could stop. I decided I would try something different and get a two piece chicken meal. The pricing on the menu board is kind of confusing because it said 4.79 for the meal but when they gave me the price it was $2 More than this plus tax and that was without a drink which was supposed to be another 2.29 or so but they didn't charge me for the drink once I said I had ordered it. That being said I don't think the blandness of the food is any part the fault of the staff. The chicken box was just okay but to be honest I would rather just go to Bojangles. I kind of feel like Jack's is made for older people who don't have taste buds or something. Even the sweet tea tastes like it doesn't have any sugar in and I've gotten it twice now thinking maybe it was just wrong the first time but no it kind of just tastes like some brown water that somebody imagine being sweet. In my honest opinion you can't market food saying it's southern food and then not seasoned it with anything. The thing I can't wrap my head around is I've been seeing on qsr that this franchise is winning awards and I just don't understand. Next time I'll make sure to stop to get something to eat before I get that far down the road. Either that or they're going to have to learn how to use some seasoning in their chicken batter because this isn't it. I kind of feel upset because this company is marketing is a Southern food and this is in no way reflective of any kind of cooking I was taught growing up. They could have at least used some black pepper. I mean some garlic powder wouldn't hurt either. They don't have to throw everything in there but just something. But if you want some actual good chicken from a chain head on over to Bojangles'. It's not...
Read moreIt's such a shame to post this, because Jacks has the best fast food burger hands down. However, the service in this location is absolutely awful. I understand the current staffing issue that we have in the world right now, however no one around them seems to be having the same attitude about it. In fact,so far the only rude people I've met in this area have worked at Jacks. My first time was absolutely perfect-the second time, we ordered one of the "red hot deals" only to be told by the manager that they don't have those anymore, even though the sign was hanging on the building and in front of the store for the exact thing we ordered. We ordered other things and waited over half an hour for them. Mind you we were the only people there. Today, I was going to work and decided to stop in for breakfast. I ordered on the app to give some extra time, and with a pickup time of 10:30, I stopped in. I advised the person on the speaker that I had an app order-she had me pull up to the window. She then told me that they were going to make it fresh, and just for me to pull up. I watched 3, 4 cars order behind me and then get their food and drive away. Kaitlyn came out at 10:45 and was heavily apologetic, and very empathetic for the issue, but advised me that it still wasn't ready. Understanding she did everything she could, but I think she was put in a place that there should have been a manager delivering that message. I questioned what was taking a single SEC biscuit so long, and she had no idea. I asked her if she could just cancel it, but she couldn't since I had ordered it on the app. I was already late for work at this point and had no way to wait for what was now a complete undisclosed amount of time, and now I've got to go through the trouble of disputing my charge, because I can only imagine what speaking to the manager there would be like, based on the prior comments from others. My experience is no different from what so many people have experienced at this Jacks. If I was the company, I would definitely be asking what was causing so many issues at this...
Read moreThis would be the third time visiting before giving a review and will be my last time. Every time I have ordered a deluxe breakfast and every time I am asked to park or pull forward and wait on my food. I know they ask you to pull forward to keep the drive through metrics down, not for the convenience of the other customers. How do I know? Each time, no one is behind me. What is the point of metrics if they are so easily defeated? The metrics could result in more help, and they obviously need it due to the wait times, so this restaurant is only hurting themselves. Additionally, I know that none of the food that comes in a deluxe would require food cooked on the spot. Everything should be in a large pan or pot and put into a carton, which I am ok with. It doesn't make sense the amount of time I have to wait. The first time I clocked almost 8 minutes, the second time in just under 10 minutes, and my final time was 15 minutes and to make things worse, my order was wrong. The only thing that kept me coming back is that I am a southern boy and I love grits. Very few fast food places have grits, let alone grits that are seasoned. Jack's grits are good, but nothing else is to write home about. I don't know why 90 percent of food joints don't season their eggs and Jack's is no different. The service was initially ok, but when I told the staff my food was wrong, almost everyone stopped what they were doing, and just stared at me. I saw an eye roll, heard a lip smack, and they just seemed irritated that I said anything. Two of these people appeared to be managers. Very unprofessional for something that is not my fault and didn't cause. I just ordered off the menu without...
