Overview
If I could give a zero I would. Nevertheless This chain restaurant particular the one in Warner Robins seem to not have structure as needed The staffs are standing everywhere, no one seems to know what needs to be done. I do understand people are busy in the restaurant industry.but it's the difference of being busy with structure and direction.Vs.being busy with no clarification of what to do. Or knowledge about the products that are offered as well as menu items. My family and I were visiting the area with friends and stopped to eat. We pre-placed our names on the wait list online upon arriving. To make it easier for all involved. Upon arriving at check-in. The staff were standing and gossiping about other staff members that we overheard. as well as not helping SMH I waited at the podium about 2 minutes trying to get someone's attention,to ask where we were on the waiting list. A generic answer was given to be expected (next on the list). 35 minutes later, when we were seated. the table was not clean. We still had to wipe the table off. Our waitress seem to be a little frazzled.so we went ahead and made it easy and gave her our order.we took the time before arriving at the restaurant to know what each person wanted. to help out our waitress,so he or she could put in our order with ease. Well let's just say we never received our food. after waiting for over an hour 63minutes to be exact.addressing The matter at hand with the waitress.she act as if she didn't know what the problem could be.after asking for A manager the kitchen manager came to speak with us.Not the restaurant manager. The kitchen manager proceeds to say "oh no don't worry we ran out of potatoes but we have them now".would you like your meal.? Everyone at the table looked at each other. I made the statement why weren't we notified that this was a problem. His statement was "oh we have it corrected now."But there was no option given to us the customers leaving us to wait in excess. My family and I proceeded to ask Do you know for sure when our meal will be out.with a blanket statement he stated "in a few moments" to be clear we have been more than patient waiting over an hour for our food as well as 35 minutes waiting when we were already put on the list. Then the kitchen manager says let me go check really on this for y'all I'll be right back.( Really)!!!which he should have done in the first place. so after speaking with the kitchen staff as well as my waitress. The kitchen manager, learned that our order was not put in AT All !! So why lie about there being (no potatoes) in the 1st place. Yet another example of someone not doing their job at this restaurant. when the waitress came back to our table She proceed to say" "oh for some reason your order wasn't put in I don't know.I'm asking aren't you the waitress that submitted our order What do you mean you don't know. she says "It was overlooked"😡at that time I proceeded to gather my things and told the kitchen manager to cancel everything. My family and I walked out. As we are walking out the restaurant.the kitchen manager says to us Do you still want me to box your food up so you can take it,You can still pay for it. I stopped looked at him he says oh never mind I turned and walked away.We did not receive any food!.no an apology, I'm sorry or anything. top it all off,The atmosphere itself is very uncomfortably very loud. To the point where our waitress had to almost yell to us so we could hear what she was saying. The restrooms are horrendous, seems as if no one cares to clean. so I took it upon myself to wipe down the sinks after I was finished washing my hands. to hopefully make it better for the next person. I was not going to leave a review.however there are some things that should be addressed &worked on at this restaurant. This was our first encounter with this restaurant rest assure now it will be our last experience with this restaurant. This is all a FYI, so proceed at your own caution lol. Have a great day! And remember to be kind to others You never know what they're...
Read moreSo tonight I decided to take my wife somewhere new for a date night. Been a rough few months and figured we would try out the Texas Roadhouse new location closer to our house. Have seen it packed out for several weeks must be good right ???
So we did the mobile wait early check in and that worked out well no issues.
We are seated and right off the rip I notice the interior of the restaurant is much more cramped than I had seen at other nearby locations. There were so many employees on the floor between managers moving about, hostess, wait staff and cleanup personnel customers could hardly move about to get to or leave their tables.
Now our server Devin, he was Johnny on the spot. Greated us warmly. He gave us time to select our drinks, appetizers, and meals. We didn’t feel rushed. We would give him 5stars.
We ordered the mozzarella sticks and expected them to be a little more than your great value cook at your home. However they were just that. Nothing extra, just as bland as you’d get from Walmart.
My wife ordered Prime Rib medium rare and double fries with a frozen margarita. When I tell you it looked like the cook literally tossed it on the grill counted to two, flipped it and repeated and then plated it that’s exactly what it looked like. To top it off you could tell it sat under the heat lamp in the window for a bit. ( not faulting Devin) with as much help as they had, somebody could have brought it out. She cut and it was obvious no where near how she requested. She sent it back and the manager brought it back about 5-6 minutes later and on the side that was facing up it looked much more like she ordered. She was satisfied and the manger was happy. However it wasn’t until she made several cuts into the prime rib and turned it over did she realize they literally cooked it on one side and called it done. There was no flavor. When asked what they used we were informed “ liquid smoke, garlic and salt” no wonder it was bland. Not to brag on my wife but when she makes steak at home and seasons the meat, you don’t have to look for the taste.
I ordered the bone-in Ribeye, buttered corn, and a loaded baked potato. I was just as equally unimpressed. Steak- no flavor, pass the ketchup, corn was straight out of the can, and that potato wasn’t big enough to be considered a side.
It’s a sad day when the best thing on your table at a steakhouse is the margarita. Something you’d expect at a Mexican restaurant not the infamous Texas Roadhouse.
Lastly the atmosphere. We all know Texas Roadhouse is loud especially when you have multiple celebrations. But when you compare the size of this location to the one in Macon which is just 30 mins away you quickly realize this location seems very cramped. We noticed when the servers did their line dance in the aisles they had to practically maneuver around their teammates to avoid knocking plates of food or being all over a patrons table. Maybe the Fire Marshall should come do a count to verify the patrons inside the location aren’t exceeding what’s allowed. Not being ugly, ,but for the amount of parking spaces you can’t honestly say there is enough room inside. I expected much better from a brand I’ve eaten at all across the south and been very pleased with before now. Tonight we left disappointed and I’ll take my money and tastebuds somewhere both can be put...
Read moreI wanted to give this new restaurant a fair chance, so I waited to write a review until after my third visit. Unfortunately, each experience was consistently disappointing.
Visit 1: I ordered the Porterhouse steak, medium-rare. It was served very rare—almost blue. I sent it back, and it returned severely overcooked to well-done. The waitress simply apologized and offered no solution or compensation. I didn’t eat the steak, was charged full price, and didn’t see the waitress again for the rest of the meal.
Visit 2: I gave it another try and ordered the same Porterhouse, medium-rare. Again, the stake was nearly raw in the center. This time the loaded baked potato was cooked on the outside but hard and undercooked in the middle. The steak was sent back and returned still undercooked. After sending it back a second time (3 trips from the kitchen) it came back well done burnt on the outside, and lacking any seasoning. I didn’t eat it, yet was again charged full price. To avoid being accused of trying to get a free meal I paid the ticket and then I asked to speak to management. This time, they offered a coupon for a future return visit.
Visit 3: I ordered the 12oz sirloin with ribs, a loaded baked potato, and mixed vegetables. The waiter then asked if I wanted a house or Caesar salad, and I selected Caesar, assuming it was included. Again, the steak came back very rare, not medium-rare. The potato was still hard in the center, and the vegetables, especially the carrots, were nearly raw. The steak was returned and cooked a bit more, but still leaned more toward rare. By the time it came back, my wife had already finished her meal and I didn't want my stake cooked for a 3rd time. To top it off, the bill had a \$4.99 charge for the salad, which I had not expected. When I brought it up, the waiter said it was an add-on, despite wording it to sound like it came with the meal. No offer was made to correct the mistake nor apologize for the misunderstanding. Again I paid for the full price and took the rest home to cook later.
Final Thoughts: After three visits at different times and days, the food is consistently undercooked or overcooked, and the kitchen repeatedly reheats the same steak rather than preparing a fresh one. The wait staff seems unsure of how to handle food issues, and management, while polite, doesn’t offer meaningful solutions. Combined with loud music and inconsistent kitchen practices, we’ve decided not to return until the restaurant hires a skilled grill chef and trains the staff to properly address customer concerns, it’s simply not worth it. I'm disappointed as we had really high hopes for...
