I wish I could give 0 zero stars! This is why it’s so hard to support black owned businesses!

It was my first time there. I went for a going away party for my kids’ godmother.

When we walked in with our children they told us that our kids(ages 2 and 5) couldn’t sit in a booth. They had to sit in the chairs because the owner doesn’t like food being dropped! -_-

We ordered our children mac and cheese first so they could eat while we decided what we wanted. They never put the order in. My husband and I decided to get the veggie sampler, which consisted of mac and cheese, collards, and yams. We each got a sampler. People that came in after us received their full plates of food included with meat and sides before us that just ordered sides. It was an hour before we received our food AND they brought it all out at the same time. Our kids were crying because they were hungry. They were supposed to eat first!

Then, once we were done eating, and our friends at other tables were leaving, we were still waiting for the check. The server never checked on us the whole time we were eating and FORGOT to bring us a check.

When she remembered and brought it, it was elevated. Our samplers were advertised as $14.95 each and the kids’ Mac and Cheese were $5.95 each. Well on the check everything was increased by a $1. When I, then, asked about this they said that there was nothing that they could do and they have been telling the owner for over a year to change the menus to reflect the correct prices. I said well if y’all know that the prices at not as advertised, put a sign up or have your waitresses say something beforehand. Then the check also automatically included 20% gratuity and a credit card fee. I said I didn’t even indicate that I was using a card, what if I want to use cash. The waitress says it doesn’t matter how you pay. Everyone pays the fee! -_-

What was supposed to be $45, turned into $67.

I have visited this establishment on a few occasions. I think its a great place to enjoy music and meet great people. I appreciate the fact that its a family friendly place. I would just like to mention that upon my arrival on Sunday Dec 9th 2018. I entered the restaurant and I was not acknowledged because the Staff was on her cell phone. I had made online reservations for 5:30 to see the Michael Austin Band. I specified this point as well as I requested a certain seating if possible. Would you believe that The Woman (I do not know her name) made a statement indicating she was booked and that I would be able to be seated.....Mind You clearly there were tables available, and I was the only patron at the entrance. I also had informed her that I was there the previous Sunday, and Had left with my guest with no problem after being asked did I make reservations. Moreover, I requested to speak with the Supervisor...or Manager, she stated she was the such......I asked her to give me a moment because I need to take a look in my phone...I wanted to show her where the reservation was clearly showing active on my cell phone........anyway, she became busy....as she attended to the other guest I walked over to the other side where the Bar was and asked one of the bar maids to please tell me that there is another Manager or Supervisor available other than this lady at the door. There was........ I was ultimately seated at 5:45 or so. I did get what I came there for as well as I enjoyed the Band. I do not know if the owner reads reviews ........please value reviews they are so important. My son and I ordered wings, while my grandson ordered A chicken sandwich. he wasn't pleased. I absolutely loved my server....Lord. I do not know her name.......I will do a better job next time on my reviews. TYSM...

Haven't been to Fredricks in a while. Went last night to meet out of town/out of state relatives. For 8:00 reservations, I arrived a 8:10, but all other guests (9) were already there, had placed their drinks and appetizers order with waitress. After a few minutes, the waitress was called over to take my order. My order arrived within minutes, while the other 9 waited for theirs. 8 of the 9 drinks finally arrived one at a time.

After our food order was placed, the waitress had to be reminded about the 9th missing drink and to provide me with missing utensils. After a wait, appetizer came out 2 at a time with 3-4 small plates, not enough for the number of guests. When we inquired about additional small plates, we were told there were no more, they had to be washed.

When food finally arrived, it was excellent. When the bills arrived, I was confused. In addition to my food and appetizer, I ordered two drinks, both were the house margarita. Why was my drink bill broken down by margaritas for $3.00 and 2 different vodkas...one priced at $8 and the other for $11. I was very confused! I ordered what was on your menu....it was broken down by the mix and liquor on the menu. Drink #1 was priced at a lower rate than drink #2. When I inquired why, the waitress took my bill to the bartender, came with $3 and an explanation: the drinks are metered and reflected on the bill and the bartender used the wrong liquor in drink #2. It was easier to correct the mistake by giving me $3 back.

To make matters worse, a 20% service fee is automatically tacked onto the bill, regardless of the slow service and mistakes that are made. And the band, which I was told would be present, was only playing on the outdoor patio. Very...
