My family and I went to Cold Stone on Saturday night. We always loved going to this location but lately it’s been kind of a rocky experience. The last time we were there, it was during the day with low traffic and the bathroom was disgusting; but as this is the only location near us, we decided to give it another shot. Our latest experience ultimately ruined this location for us, and we are hesitant to be going back. When we got there, it seemed there was a lot of confusion with where the line starts. The three employees were trying their best to make do and end the shift on a high note, but you can tell they were over with the shift and for good reason. When it was our turn to order, we noticed that half of the ice cream flavors were melted, seemed like one of the freezers were out. The ice cream started overflowing and going into the vents, which looked pretty unclean. The manager came over, grabbed one of the ice cream mixer spoons, and started taking the overflowing ice cream from the vents and scooping it back into the container. My family and I looked at each other bewildered. The manager even made eye contact with me when he did it, and completely disregarded his actions. One of the employees started to question why the ice cream was melted and making comments, and another employee told her to scoop from under the melted ice cream for the customers. He went into the back and started yelling things to the employees, including saying how they aren’t washing spoons that night. We were appalled by the experience. The only reason I gave it a two- star review is because the 3 employees working did their best. Overall, this location is not how it used to be - it’s unclean, unorganized,...
Read moreEDITED After my review and a letter to corporate I received a call from the store manager or owner. I received a sincere apology and was invited to come back in as the employee has been spoken with and wanted to apologize as well. I returned with my sister for support and the employee did apologize to me profusely, which I believe he meant. I received my ice cream on the house and was assured that I'd be treated with this new respect in future visits. This problem was handled expeditiously and professionally which is appropreciated in any business. I'll continue to go back as long as my experience stays a positive one as I always believe in second chances.
My experience was horrific. I have frequented this cold stone for years and now post divorce I have gone there after a couple dates as one does after the movies. Well a guy who I now learn is the manager has accosted me the last few times. He's commented on when I bring a "new guy" in to myself AND my date or my friends which is humiliating.
Tonight he decided to announce that I'm "back already" and where is my new guy, that I always come in with a new guy. I have purposely avoided coming here with men for over 6 months due to the shame of the prior encounters. I assumed with a female friend I would be safe, I was wrong. It was mortifying to explain to my out of town female friend that I am usually SLUT SHAMED at this cold stone. The fact that this guy is a manager and can continually harass customers, and there is apparently no one above him to rectify this, is appalling. Please DO NOT come here if you are a female and aren't okay with being harassed or...
Read moreCustomer service was horrific. My brother and I got a late night craving for ice cream and after driving around not being able to find anything open we remembered about this cold stone. It was about 9:50 when we arrived and they close at 10, we felt bad, especially me given that I work in the food service industry, but we figured that we were just getting ice cream and getting out, and it would take us 5 minutes tops to do so (we weren’t getting anything elaborate). The guy who was working was so incredibly rude, we almost walked out. He was muttering things under his breath, saying things like “what do you want,” with an extreme attitude. Here’s where the best part comes in, we go to check out and we were standing at the other registers on the opposite side of the counter and he then yells “down here” so we go down, he adds goes on his phone, and tells us a total, which seemed to be pricey (especially my sorry excuse for a medium scoop), then sees a car pull up outside and says “no I’m closed.” We pay, don’t get a receipt, because the guy added the total on his phone not using the computer whatsoever, and a women proceeded to walk in when we were walking out. The women opens the door and the guy working says “nope we’re closed,” the women then goes to say “I know I just wanted to know-“ and the guy cuts her off and continuously cuts her off repeating “Ma’am we’re closed.” All in the meantime it is 9:58. I mean the utter disrespect and disregard is insane. I will be contacting corporate and letting them...
