This restaurant has some of the worst service I have ever experienced, and I have given the place repeated chances. Whether or not a server actually comes within 30 minutes of your being seated to even offer you a drink, let alone actually ask for your order, completely depends on your wait person. There are a few good, friendly, and professional waitresses, but the majority of the staff is awful. They literally do not come to the table. At all. The hosts and hostesses are atrocious as well. Tonight, I went to get an early dinner, and they were slammed, having waited tables myself, I prepared to be a good sport and roll with the flow. They threw a buzzer at me, and I waited patiently to be seated. 30 minutes later, I was led back to my seat without even a smile or one word of greeting, where I proceeded to wait. And wait. And wait. Many staff members walked by, the waitress I usually get was nice but very busy. Everyone who was seated after me was getting drinks and food, and no one came to my table. I flagged down a hostess who just kept going, so I actually had to call out to her. This tall, thin ginger snaps at me, "Well, I said something to your waiter"--clearly, it had been noticed that I was alone without food or beverage, yet nothing was done--this wasn't 5 minutes, at this point it had been 20 minutes! And then she stalked off and no one came out! So after another 15 minutes of getting madder and madder, I left. On my way out, I said to a different hostess, "next time seat me with a server who comes to the table and, you know, serves me something." Another surly hostess with a nose ring shouts, "What do you want us to do? We're up here." Another hostess said, "I can call a manager." Here's why I said no. This is not the 1st or 2nd time this has happened there. This is the third. I kept going back because it's close, it had good steak, and my usual waitress, Missy, is wonderful. It just isn't worth my time anymore. I just wasted an hour of my life. I am not a crappy customer. I tip well. I am polite. I am a regular. And I eat fast and don't take up the table for very long. And I have been ignored and treated shabbily 3 different times. I would not go to this restaurant if you have any other choice. Busy or slow, the service is far too spotty to count on an...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Longhorn Steak House, and I can't express how incredibly satisfying and memorable the experience was from start to finish. If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm and friendly smiles from the staff, setting the tone for the evening. The rustic and cozy ambiance of the restaurant instantly made me feel at home. The dimly lit, Western-themed décor created an inviting and relaxed atmosphere that was perfect for a delightful evening out. Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the food! The menu at Longhorn Steak House boasts a fantastic selection of steaks and other delicious dishes. I opted for the Renegade Sirloin, cooked to a perfect medium-rare, and it was a flavor explosion in every bite. The steak was incredibly tender and juicy, showcasing the skill of their talented chefs. The seasoning was spot-on, enhancing the natural flavors of the meat without overpowering it. To complement the steak, I ordered the Wild West Shrimp as an appetizer, and it was a fantastic choice. The shrimp were crispy, succulent, and the spicy cream sauce had just the right amount of kick to awaken my taste buds. The sides were equally impressive. The Loaded Potato Soup was rich and creamy, while the Crispy Brussels Sprouts were a delightful surprise, offering a unique twist on a classic side dish. And let's not forget about the warm, freshly baked bread served with honey butter – it was divine! The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about the menu, making excellent recommendations. My glass was never empty, and our dishes arrived promptly. To top it all off, I indulged in the Chocolate Stampede dessert. It was the perfect sweet ending to an outstanding meal. The combination of chocolate and pecans left me in dessert heaven. Longhorn Steak House exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply craving a top-notch steak, this restaurant is the place to be. The exceptional food, warm atmosphere, and impeccable service make it a must-visit. I can't wait to return to Longhorn Steak House for another unforgettable dining experience!
And a special Thanks to the Amazing...
Read moreWhile my steak was pretty decent, I would not go back to this establishment. I was in a party of four, out celebrating my birthday. The restaurant closes at 10PM. In a normal world, that means that at 10PM, they stop seating tables. Not here. At 10PM at this establishment, the door is locked, and nobody (even current diners!) can re-enter.
I found this out at 10:02 when my girlfriend and I attempted to return to our table (where my father and sister were still eating) to find the doors locked. The manager would not let us return to our table, despite explaining that we were still seated at a booth, and hadnt even been given our check yet. Our waiter (Shrek, I think his name was) came over and stated that it was company policy not to let anyone in after 10. Really? Even paying customers that arent finished their meal? He even had the audacity to offer my father dessert "to-go," while we waited outside for them to finish. Not exactly an ideal birthday dinner.
As for the food... my salad was clearly made hours before I received it. There was no crunch at all to the lettuce. It was wilted... felt like eating steamed spinach. Even the croutons were soggy. The butter that came with our bread was disgusting... it looked like it had started to GEL from being left open in the fridge. My dads steak was ordered medium rare, and it was medium well. They did offer to make a new one, but by that time we were already halfway through the meal. My sisters entree was called the "Firecracker Chicken Taco's." Just so nobody is confused by the name, these are called "Taquitos" at your local grocery store. At Longhorn, you can have 5 of them for $9. All of that would have been fine, I can look past the food issues.. If the service was friendly. But couple poor service with food that's mediocre at best, and its a recipe for disappointment.
Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. My biggest disappointment was that I couldnt warn my father not to leave a tip before we left. I will...
