I love this Chelo's. The service is pretty good considering they were crazy busy. People were standing around the bar waiting for a seat, and there are a lot of seats so imagine and then there was also a lot of people waiting to get into the restaurant to have a table or a booth. The food is always out of this world except my husband last night had the meatloaf and he said it was very very dry. And it had no seasoning in it either he should have said something and not pay for the meal because that's a lot of money to pay for dinner when we spent 80 bucks and he sent half of it back. Next time I will address the manager but, they saw that we sent it back so I don't know why they didn't take it off the bill. But my dinner was very very good I had the bacon burger and that burger is really good. I came a second time but the service was extremely bad the whole time they never came up to us and asked if we needed anything how everything was nothing and then when we waited for the bill we had to wait and wait and wait we had to flag them down really bad service and there was three bartenders and it's a Monday night so the first time the service was great but the food not so much today the food was excellent but the service was really really bad and they wonder why that tips are not good there's no excuse" three"bartenders On a Monday night and it wasn't that busy and not one of them came up to us and asked if our food was good if we needed anything nothing. They took out plates away when we're done and they didn't ask us again if we wanted anything else or if it was good nothing and then they wonder why they don't get a good tip I always leave excellent tips but I'm not going to do that when the service is really bad I work hard for my money and that was...

Our family is a regular at Chelo's, visiting sometimes twice a week. And let me tell you, the service here is simply unbeatable - the friendly staff always make us feel right at home.
It's no wonder my daughter has her heart set on working here someday. And who can blame her? She adores the kids' mac and cheese, which she orders without fail every time we visit. And as for my wife, she can't get enough of the Chicken Parmesan Dinner - a scrumptious breaded chicken smothered in marinara sauce and topped with melted mozzarella cheese, all served over your choice of pasta. And of course, we always upgrade with Pink Sauce for that extra burst of flavor.
As for me, my go-to meal is the Met's Mushroom Burger, which was voted the best burger in Rhode Island. And trust me when I say, it's not hard to see why - this 1/2 lb. Angus beef patty is perfectly cooked to your liking, then topped with sautéed mushrooms and melted American cheese. And when you add the onion rings to the mix? Pure perfection.
But that's not all - Chelo's even has a Best Guest reward program. Simply earn 200 points and you'll receive a $5 reward on your Best Guest Card. It's just one more reason why we keep coming back for more.
So what are you waiting for? Head to Chelo's and experience the best food, service, and rewards in town. You...
Read moreWe've eaten here many times but this may be my last for a while. My wife's grilled shrimp scampi was fine, but I made the mistake of getting the blackened fish taco app as a meal. The supposedly blackened fish didn't have any flavor and even with the salsa and guacamole it was still pretty bland. Still no big deal. Then I found a fish bone in the second taco. Luckily, I felt it in my mouth before it caused any damage. I wasn't too upset, because accidents happen. When the waitress came over later, I showed it to her so she could let the kitchen know. A little later, a guy I presume was the manager (didn't introduce himself and wasn't dressed up) came over and said the waitress had showed him the "small" bone I had found in my dinner - clearly trying to minimize the problem right off the bat. He then interrogated me about how I discovered it and whether it was the only one so I couldn't claim injury later. He proceeded to explain why it wasn't their fault, it was that of the fish provider. He was not at all concerned about my having my dinner spoiled by the incident, just collecting evidence - presumably so I couldn't sue. Charged us full price for the meal and didn't even offer even a free drink or dessert to help make up for it. Neither the waitress nor the manager seemed to be actually sorry, it was all about making sure they couldn't be blamed. How to ensure a customer...
