Read moreA long and well established restaurant in East Greenwich. One of the few restaurants open on a Monday evening. First off, the service was impeccable. Very well trained and professional staff despite their seemingly youthful appearance. Very professional, a credit to their training. A very clean and warm professional setting. Certain kind of business casual charm in the dining area, large picture windows in the back parking area that showed very nice greenery and almost forest like background. It doesn't look like a parking lot although you'll see some cars. Now to the food. I had the Kabob Trio (?) Shrimp, scallops and filet on a skewer over Jasmine rice. The rice was eye-openingly good and surprising. Well made jasmine rice and seasoned . Could believe how good it was (by default, my ethnicity would give me an advantage in judging rice quality over most) The kabob ob the other hand, less impressive. No, it wasn't bad, far from it. However, it was bit bland at best. It was like nothing was seasoned. Couldn't pick up any hints of flavor aside from the proteins themselves. The shrimp, the scallop and the beef. It was well made, prepared and cooked and served well. Wait staff was excellent. The dish just lacked that "oompf" or wow factor. Still, it was ok. No regrets. Just not impressive. My Wife was less impressed with her meal. Just didn't strike her flavor pallet. She had the pork tenderloin. She described it was "Greggs+" (another long established local RI restaurant) I had a bite and I could understand where she was coming from but I disagreed with the severity of her description. I found it a bit more flavorful than my own dish and far better than Gregg's (which is more like a diner than a restaurant).
The deserts were good. A nice touch of theater with flaming marshmallows for my daughter dish. They were so good that it may cause you to overeat a bit. I had an espresso which was good, not memorable but still good.
Overall a good meal, excellent service and great deserts. Its a nice place to catch up with friends and family. It's jus not a memorable dining experience.

I've had this place on my radar for some time and finally had a chance to check it out.
Upon arriving, it's easily accessible off of the highway - just a short drive off the exit ramp. There is a ton of surface lot parking, so it's painless to park and mosey on in.
Inside, the motif is upscale without feeling stuffy. It's a large space, mostly open concept, with many multi person tables scattered throughout. Since it was a summer evening, it didn't feel too dim inside for me, but if it were winter time, the lighting could be a bit brighter.
Though we arrived on a weekday night, but it was still fairly packed. I had made a reservation through OpenTable and it worked great - no wait for our table! We were seated towards the back, and it allowed for good conversation. It's not a noisy place so I think any corner would have worked.
It's a seafood slanted menu, but it does have a little of everything for everybody. When we first sat down, our waitress was quick to ask for drinks and then gave us a chance to review the menu. I ordered the house white to start, and settled on the fig and arugula grilled pizza (there was an appealing salsa verde pizza on the menu as well, but the avocado aioli that it's made with contained mayonnaise, so I passed.)
The pizza was really yummy! The dough was crispy, not too thick, savory without it being overpowered by garlic or onion, and I really enjoyed the sweet fig smear accompanied by the peppery arugula and goat cheese! The entree was more than I could finish, but I was happy to take it home to have as leftovers.
For the wallet, it does run a little pricey, but nothing too exorbitant. Also, given the access and the parking, the overall experience is worth a few more...
