The male manager is unprofessional and aggressive and that condones the bad attitude of the waitstaff . The food is mediocre quality and not always fresh !I think they make the specials out of the food that is leftover from the weekend. My husband and I went there for many years tolerating this attitude of a family owned business.we try to support local businesses. Only because it’s open late but the food and attitude is despicable . When the bill arrived it did not reflect the ladies night discount on the 1meal I had ordered. Our group was a party of four 3 women and 1 male ,we ordered 2 martinis , 1 wine a couple of beers ,appetizers calamari and onion soup a pasta dish with added chicken all that not on the ladies night menu only 1 dish was on the ladies night which is 50 percent off the jacked up price $31 for 4 small bay not SEA scallops which were rubbery so I shared the rest to the Male and did not complain but I guess your not allowed to share . Really who cares ? It is very clear the manager and waitress have no professional training and when I asked for the 50 percent off the one dish ! We were so shocked at the way the hostile manager yelled at me ! I was confused and I asked why he was so angry He said I sent back food ! I said I have been coming here for years and I Have Never sent anything back ?I asked What was he talking about? But he couldn’t answer I still don't know . The other guests at my table said they were watching us like the FOOD POLICE during our meal ! Uncomfortable ! I guess they gave nothing else to do that watch guests eating to see if they share food ! It’s not like ordered 1 dinner and water we ordered a lot of stuff . I think they discriminated against us and are unprofessional petty and aggressive . There are so many other great restaurants in East Greenwich that are on...
Read moreWe were promptly greeted by our server Jenny, who was welcoming, personable and attentive, compleatly different from out last experience, she suggested the meatballs as an app, after our last experience we were a little hesitant, but as she assured us they were amazing, we followed then up with salads, a chicken parmigiana, and burger, everything was perfectly timed, flavors on point and drinks were never empty, we will be back, with her prompt attentive service she took this from a 2 star unwelcoming experience to a 5 star diamond to which we will return.
Versus my first experience. Had to try it, heard so many good things, olive garden italian at it's best. Zupa di clams, meatballs, and scallop rissoto. Clams were a salt lick, weird because nothing else had any salt or pepper, would have honestly rather had Dave's meatballs they were at least seasoned, the scallops no sear, clearly previously frozen and pumped over pourage, I mean overcooked rissoto, for 70 bucks I would expect more. Slash sweep your floor please. Our server Kathleen though, she was on point, but the bartender stuffing her face behind the bar while serving drinks without sanitizing her hands, health...
Read moreThe hostesses seemed more concerned about their gossip than anything else, not understanding how to serve guests, and have decided that whipping around the restaurant seating people as a whatever task is the way to go to get back to the gossip session behind the hostess podium. Location is a bit odd on the second floor of a plaza. Server was quite nice; however the menu I had to view was quite shocking. Take a look at the attached pictures. Come on… Throw the old menus out. My wife ordered soup and confirmed that it was good, and the bread that is complementary was good as well. My meal was the steak dinner. Steak was tasty and cooked the way it should have been, but the cheap sides of tater tots and onion rings were overbearing, and the steak was small. Gnocchi was served as well, but was not flavorful with the sauce they provided, more like pasta dough balls with tomato. I won’t be returning anytime soon. In reality with some more training of workers, focus on some updated restaurant property and slight reworking of dishes this would be a...
