absolutely disgusting experience unfortunately…. place seemed a bit hectic which is understandable, so we were sat near the bar at the high tops, no problem…. My girlfriend and I each order drinks and then wait for the waitress to return, 15 minutes goes by and not only has the waitress not been back but we don’t have our drinks as tables around us are getting drinks. Finally the waitress makes it back to us and informs us the bar is backed up and asks if we would like to order, sure, not a problem again understandable. so we both order food, one a hibachi meal and the other two things of sushi… about 4 minutes goes by and the entire hibachi meal comes out with nothing else in which the server returns and tells us the drinks should be out shortly and sushi is also backed up so she’s not sure when my girlfriend meal will come. at which point i finally put my foot down because who is going to eat a $30 meal, with no drink, also while your significant other has no drink or MEAL in front of them and no clue as to when any of it will be out! The lovely waitress then asks my girlfriend and i if a. we have ever eaten out at a restaurant before and B. if either of us have ever worked at a restaurant LOL!!! So at this point of being completely disrespected and unbelievably terrible service we decided to stand up and head out. Again here comes the waitress throwing herself in front of the door stopping us, shouting to her coworkers and the rest of the front of the restaurant that we are trying to walk out on our bill! I am absolutely disgusted not by just the service but MORE than anything the fact that the waitress implied i was trying to steal my meal!!! horrible horrible service, id love to get an explanation from the owner, manager was nice enough but still very unsatisfied with a disgusted taste left in my mouth from being accused of...
Read moreMy husband and I have been coming here for over 15 years and has always been one of our favorite restaurants to go to for special occasions (anniversaries, birthdays, etc). We decided to take our kids here for the first time a few weeks ago and I am not sure we will return. They sat us by the bar which was fine, it was dead and that seemed to be the only section they had open. But the bar manager came in and sat at the bar right next to our table (off the clock and made it clear who she was). I'm not even exaggerating when I say this is one of the most unprofessional employees I have ever seen anywhere, never mind an upscale dining establishment. She was talking to the bartender and 2 patrons that were sitting at the bar about her new pet dragon Pickles. She spoke about feeding it all sorts of insects and how it would kill them. She spoke about its feces and having to clean up after it - all while we were eating 10 feet from her. She then started talking about other employees that worked there and how they were being given disciplinary action for numerous reasons. She was complaining about schedules and laziness of other workers. We unfortunately could not say anything to our waitress because she was full in on the conversations as well as wildly inappropriately dressed - belly ring hanging out, short leather skirt, etc. We immediately asked for to go boxes and our check and left as quickly as we could. We did say something to the receptionist as we were leaving but am unsure if it made it back to management or not. We spent just about $200 for the 4 of us (typical for here) and our meal was completely ruined. Baffled that this woman is a manager there. Will be choosing a new place for my birthday this year which saddens me as we have been such loyal customers...
Read moreI wanted to take my 2 kids out for a fun night. I made a 730pm reservation for the hibachi. We arrived at 715 and were greeted by a very friendly hostess and a man whom is the manager or owner. We were immediately seated. After a few minutes, the owner came and took our drink orders and quickly returned with 2 sprites that were noting but carbonated water and a beer in a dirty glass. Not a big deal. We let the owner know and he very kindly fixed both issues. Meanwhile, a frazzled waiter appeared and asked if we wanted salad or soup but almost discouraged it. We got 1 soup and 1 salad and they came quickly. They were small but what is expected when you are about to get a large entree.
From here, long story short, for another 45 minutes, we watched as chefs finished tables and left. Then customers left. Soon, the 3 of us were the only people left not about to leave. It became very clear the owner didn't want to pay a chef to cook for 3 people so we were left without dinner. We walked out when my kids couldn't wait anymore to eat.
We saw other families having fun. And the owner was very pleasant but he ruined a fun night out with my kids so he could save a few bucks.
I recommend not going here especially if you don't think of a night out with a reservation as a gamble that you'll be served. But definately don't make an hibachi reservation for after 7pm as you'll left without dinner. It seemed pretty obvious they just wanted us out of there so they could shut down the...
