Seven Stars Bakery - East Greenwich — Restaurant in East Greenwich

I loved seven stars on point street and always loved their bread. I was disappointed today at the East Greenwich location. I ordered curb side pick up. There were clear directions on the website to let them know you're here and to "pull right in the parking lot, and we'll be right out." I wait about 15 minutes, just figured it was busy. I called and asked if my order was ready. The person checked and said yes we'll be out. Great, fine, I don't mind waiting and I wasn't upset or anything. The person who brought out the order seemed annoyed I was there, didnt say hello when I said hello and simply said "here" and "thanks". I'm sorry I was an inconvenience to you? I dont know what kind of day people are having so I always give them the benefit of the doubt, but just makes me not want to order...

Went there today for the first time. While the food was good, the people working there had to have been the most miserable people I’ve ever seen. We walked in the door and not one person said hello (they looked up when we walked in but not even a smile). Ordered our food and told the guy it was our first time there so to bare with us and he didn’t even crack a smile, let alone give us any input on what is good. We sat there for about 45 mins and I kid you not, I did not see these employees smile once unless it was with each other. Again, the food was good (but very over priced IMO for what it is) but the miserable employees really dampened the atmosphere and made it so we probably won’t go back. This Seven Stars Bakery just opened and I have already been twice. Both times were delightful. Happy, friendly customer service with great recommendations. As someone who has worked in 2 local coffee shops as a barista, I can say I have a lot of respect for this place. They donate their food and pastries to food shelters which is a great way to eliminate food waste while providing fresh options daily. They serve a wide variety of pastries, sandwiches, and drinks which includes my FAVORITE French pastry: kouign amann!! Their quiche is great and I appreciate their milk options and complimentary water. I would recommend to anyone in the area who wants to go to a cafe to come here.
