Arous Studio — Local services in East Greenwich

I came across this studios online and booked an appointment based on the rave reviews. I've struggled to find a decent hair salon for years and have resorted to only cutting my hair once every year or two.

Let me start with saying WOW. I've never had a dry cut before. With typical cuts I'd ask for a certain length and style, they'd cut wet and of course not take into account that my hair is a curly and when dry it would shrink up another inch or two and would be way shorter than I wanted.

I've never booked my next hair appointment on my way out of the salon!! I had such a great experience. My hair dresser Shameen was absolutely fabulous. A joy to sit and chat with and she cut my hair perfect. I can't wait to see her in 3 months ☺️

The owner Arous and her sister were so fun to chat with as well. They made me feel like an old friend. I went in there after having a so so day and left feeling so good! The over all vibe of the salon is exactly what I needed after a long day. Bonus was the fantastic glass of wine 😁

Can't say enough about this place! Look forward to all my future hair needs....

I have been working with Shameem for over 20 years and have followed her to wherever she goes. I am so happy with my haircut and highlights, traveling two hours to see her. It is so worth it! I may not get my hair done as often but I find with her new technique of dry cutting, I can go longer between haircuts and it still looks great. I was skeptical at first with dry cutting but now I will never go back- my hair is now so healthy, full and manageable. She spends quality time with you and going there feels like a spa experience. The salon is beautiful, clean, bright and everyone is so friendly. I always look forward to the cappuccino Shameem makes me while my highlites are setting!! Shameen has been doing my hair for 15+ years! Always a brilliant “hair-cutter” and colorist (and my hair is extremely thick-not easy), I followed her to Arous Studio where she’s learned an entirely new technique-“dry cutting “. She has mastered it in the 3.5 years that she’s been there. I’ve had short hair since I was sixteen, and have had my hair cut many times in many cities where I lived (Montreal and Boston, a a few in NYC).
