Do not come here with a large group.
I normally wouldn't write a review over anything like this, but our server argued with me over it in front of the party, so here we are.
The restaurant was deserted when we arrived at 6:30 on a Sunday. I was a late addition to a 10 person reservation that had cancellations. I established right away that I was paying for myself and the server seemed to get everyone's payment arrangements in order early on. Most menu items were brought out by runners that would "auction" off the food. When my Sakura plate was announced and given to me, there was another roll on it. I didn't think much of it at the time because there were some handwritten parts on the menu, the layout is confusing, who knows if the photos were accurate or even taken by the place? Several party members' food was missing and it was later found out after my plate was 90% eaten that someone's spicy tuna roll was plated with mine and it was not communicated, as they had only called out the "Sakura" roll when giving it to me. Regardless of whether the server or a runner was delivering the plates, each item should be announced so we knew what was what. Who may've been the manager(?) said they'd make another spicy tuna roll for the person that ordered it. Later the server was confirming everyone's checks, she read mine off first. The three items I actually ordered were correct, but she added the spicy tuna roll that I did not order to my tab. I argued that I didn't order it, she argued that I ate it. Anywhere else would apologize for the confusion but instead the server argues with me in front of the party. No apologies, no nothing. The server was unprofessional, uncooperative and unorganized. I understand we had a large group, but surely that was not their first rodeo with serving such a large party - the rooms along the side of the restaurant are clearly made for larger parties. After arguing with me over what I ordered, it became clear to the rest of the group that they really had to pay attention to ensure they'd be charged properly and overall an uncomfortable experience. The server did not deserve the 18% tip that was automatically added to...
Read moreSo my wife and I came here for the first time because we wanted some Asian food and were on a trip to Rhode Island. This place has SO much potential and truly we don’t know because again our first time so maybe they were having a bad day because it was Valentines Day. I can only think to myself what if people came here on a first date with their Valentine’s.. that would’ve messed it all up. Because I mean it looks nice. But we had a horrible experience. And I LOVE Asian food. We entered and saw it was packed but mainly for take outs by the door so we hoped it was good. We sat down pretty fast and our orders were taken right away and the menu had variety! But it nearly took 2 hours for our food to get there and when it did, when I tell you everything was cold, it was COLD. And I mean cold, not luke warm. You might as well had taken it out the fridge. I ordered General Tao’s Chicken with rice and wanted the white rice replaced with fried rice. So that’s not supposed to be cold at all. I never got my fried rice and was charged (I didn’t pay for it though) That order was also supposed to come with Miso Soup and that never came. I love miso soup. Crab Rangoon was ice cold. They seemed so unorganized and overwhelmed. I get it but damn, it was bad. Such a let down because it has so much potential. You’d think everyone there was on their first day. We had to ask for our own silverware. The crappy part is that they knew how much they were screwed up that day but didn’t offer any salvaging. No discount for anything, not even a take home bag for a lot of the food we left out. Just poor service imo. Again, potential, and hopefully just a bad day. Menu was great, but it was such a let down. Totally lost...
Read moreWe had dinner there last night and we won't be going there ever again. The service was good but the food was sub par to say the least. We ordered a sushi roll, the General Tso's chicken and the Three Delights entrees. The sushi roll was fresh but the General's chicken was too dry and the Four Delights was just not edible. It had a really repulsive smell and when I tasted it it was gross. I had my friend try it and she said the same thing, that it had a weird smell and that it was not edible. Not sure what they had put in it or if anyone else has had this experience. When we told the waitress she apologized and we said we would just take it home and ordered another entrée. The waitress must have misunderstood because the manager came over to our table two minutes after and told us in an adamant tone that replacing the entrée was not an option. We explained to her that we would pay for the Four Delights entrée and she left without saying a word. This is not how any other restaurant would have handled this scenario. I would expect them to take it off the bill and offer something similar from their menu. On a related note, when we were waiting to be seated I noticed that the manager was taking an order on the phone and put the customer on hold for 5 minutes so she could finish some drinks she was in the middle of making. I don't think that's very professional but looking back now it explains a few things about how that manager operates. Long story short, food not that great, unprofessional management. They've lost...
