I had a really shady experience with this drive thru yesterday. When I first started making my order at the electronic speaker kiosk, a young lady was speaking to me. Then a young man took over. When he asked what sauce I want with the chicken nuggets combo, I replied with my choice. He added it separately and charged me an extra dollar for it. I found it a little odd considering itâs a combo and the sauce should be part of the comboâs price. The way it was printed on the receipt seemed shady, too, but he explained thatâs how the system works. Still, when I pointed it out and said I shouldnât be charged an extra dollar, he did call his manager - who happened to be a very rude and condescending person. He explained the situation to me - which still seemed shady and illogical. He then said he can find a way to make it cheaper for me, by 10 cents. I was expecting to get my dollar refunded and then given 2 sauces with the chicken nuggets COMBO meal - which is what should have happened to begin with. He said he can make it cheaper for me by making them saucy nuggets and then it would be 10 cents cheaper.
I never got a refund, even when I asked him if he needs my card to refund the partial charge. He outright refused to refund me. Hereâs the thing, 1 dollar or 10 cents may be nothing but if this is done to hundreds of thousands of customers, they add up. Iâm not sure if this is Wendyâs new way of scamming customers or if the manager and some employees at this branch think theyâre being smart about making extra money by scamming customers so they get a raise or whatever else. A lot of people have been using racism, prejudice (and just about anything else) as a crutch to get away with illegal and corrupt behavior, lately, and itâs really getting out of hand. I specifically asked not to put blue cheese on my salad because Iâm allergic to it. I asked 2xs and the guy at the window said he put no blue cheese in my order. Yet the salad had blue cheese. I wonât put his name down as of now. I called to see if they could make it right by giving me another salad, and after several attempts no answer from the restaurant. I complained to customer service and the guy sounded sincere and sorry. He gave me a case # because of the severity of me being allergic to the blue cheese. He said someone will definitely get back to me. He only took the complaints of customers. Letâs see how long before Wendyâs responds back. I wouldnât say anything but this is the 2ndx and Iâm just wondering whoâs going to make this right? Does the manager care? Because the guy at the window didnât. Again I wonât use his name as of right now. Iâm upset because My health matters to me. I hope no one else has to suffer from this kind of service. If you do start putting it out there so the upper management changes things. Corporate management needs to do better and care to reach out to us that keep their pockets full. This is so ridiculous that this happened. Glad I didnât continue to eat it. These kind of employees are the ones that end up closing the doors to many restaurants and businesses because of their lack of caring for the customers and their employment.    Read moreWhat a retched experience. I was yelled at twice by some jerk named Robert. The first time was at the drive through menu where he was both very rude and demanding. Apparently, after making me wait 5 minutes, I wasn't ordering fast enough for his liking. The second time was when I pulled up to the window to pay and he was just standing there staring off into space with the window shut. After a few minutes of sitting there, I pulled forward to pay and get my food. As I moved forward, he threw open the window and yelled "Get back here right now! You need to pay!" My food was cold and my frosty was melted and entirely liquid. I will never vist this establishment ever again. I recommend they start back with the basics.. Like being somewhat polite to customers and, I don't know, serving warm food when it's supposed to warm and cold food when it supposed to be cold.
