The pizza is perfect. I like their approach of simple and perfectly executed pizza. The sauce is just smashed tomatoes with some salt, but it’s so good that I crave it almost every day because the tomatoes are so yummy. The cheese is excellent, and the Parmesan is some of my favorite. I’ve definitely saved 1 or 2 small containers to put on pasta. I have tried every vegetarian pizza option and I love them all. My favorites are the margherita and the white pizza (usually don’t like white pizza but the ricotta is SO good). Try the white pizza with hot honey and some red pepper flakes. The meat eaters in my life love the pepperoni and the carnivore one.

Andy’s also has a wide variety of drinks. I’ve had everything from a super cheap Jameson on the rocks to an old fashioned to an espresso martini to some craft beer I don’t remember to some good red wine. The staff is knowledgeable about the drinks too, so when I described what kind of beers I liked, they gave me one that they thought I’d like and I did (something called Jackie O). My mom and her friend really liked the glass of wine and two slice special for $15.

Finally, the service and environment is really good. I complain about service in DC a lot and didn’t initially expect a lot from a casual spot but it’s great. The staff is mostly bilingual, very friendly, and efficient. If I dine in, a manager always checks on me sincerely. Dan the manager even remembers me and what pizza I like, which gives this restaurant a homey feel. The music is also great. I’ve brought a lot of people here, all with diverse tastes and dietary needs, and literally everyone...

Edited for clarity on February 7th after the owner's response: Andy's staff member was going to serve me a slice split in half (without telling me it would be free). As the broken slice was being packaged, I politely asked to have a new slice because it was split and would be challenging to eat. The response from the staff member was angry: "I was going to give that to you for free, but if you want to pay for a slice, you can pay for a slice!" and then quickly dumped my broken slice in the garbage, and brought a full slice (and did NOT heat it) that I still paid $5 for. Again, I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for the thing you are paying for, and while I appreciate the owner's response, this reaction from staff reflects an unhappy workplace. The pizza is so good here, but this was such an unnecessary negative experience. Original review: Staff was about to serve me a pizza slice broken in half. Was sarcastically told that I was going to “be given the slice for free” had I not asked for a full slice. When the pizza is $5/slice, it’s not unreasonable that I ask for my slice to not be cut in half. Absolutely rude of staff to make this remark to me when I asked to pay for what I ordered. I will...

Twice! They failed to deliver my pizza twice. First through Door Dash which I thought was unfortunate. Then I order through their website and my order never shows up again, even though I get a text saying it was delivered. When I called the location, the little boy I spoke with said he would give me a refund but he couldn't call the driver because they don't have contact with the delivery drivers! Which makes absolutely no sense. He asked me how I ordered, I told him through the Andy's website. He asked if I used Square or DoorDash, I said no your website. He said, so you used Square. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHAT POS SYSTEM YOU USE? He then hangs up on me and then every time I called back to speak with a manager he would let it ring and then hang up the phone again. I just paid a $38 for a cheese pizza and you have the nerve to have an attitude with me? I am allowed to be frustrated this is the second time this has happened, I wasn't raising my voice but I don't have to sound chipper when I am paying for my food not to show up. Everyone always raves about this pizza, I guess I will never know because your customer...

Many people have described this place as the best pizza in DC. While it is good and definitely has that classic NYC style, it was not five star pizza. I got the Classic Pepperoni signature pizza with burrata and hot honey - very tasty. I got it for takeout which may have also contributed to quality of the pie. A really nice touch was that they put the buratta and hot honey on the side, which kept the pizza crispier while I brought it home. I hope to try a fresh slice at the restaurant someday soon. They have lots of selection between their own creations and the classics. If you are in DC and craving pizza, give them a try!

Very good! I always wanted to try them and finally got a chance with my friends. The server was super helpful and gave us a helpful tip. Instead of purchasing one slice 4.65, we can get a whole pizza of 8 pieces and would be more economical. The best part was that we could mix and match with the slices set out. I really enjoyed the thin bread and the dough tasted of good quality. Definitely will return again. My favorite were the margherita and pepperoni.
