Today was the third or fourth time my family has eaten here, over about 4 years, and we will likely never come back. Before the food was always mediocre to bad and the service was not great, and we always chalked it up to the continuous staffing shortage they seemed to have.
The previous time (about 6 months ago) we were there I ordered a medium rare steak and received a steak that was pale gray on the outside and raw inside. I sent it back, and apparently the cooks decided to punish me for criticizing their food as I was given the same piece of meat back but blasted into absolute shoe leather.
Today, my family came for a late lunch after a 3 mile walk on the centennial trail in the rain and we were very hungry and ready for hot food. Right off the bat I had a not great experience with the hostess, who argued with me about whether or not I really wanted the high chair I asked for?? She was insistent that I get a sling for my baby’s carseat, though I had asked for a high chair and I had to spell out that I wanted a seat for my child to SIT IN in order for her to stop arguing with me, then she snarkily called over her shoulder as she was walking away “I was just trying to HELP you.” Odd that she made me argue my position and repeat myself multiple times out of “helpfulness” … and then the high chair she brought to the table was nasty. Absolutely covered in a sticky film and crumbs, definitely had not been cleaned after the last few children had used it.
We ordered 4 burgers, the ranch burger, the classic cheeseburger, and 2 kids burgers. My husband finished his whole ranch burger and said it was “ok” but I barely ate half of mine before losing interest despite feeling so hungry. It just didn’t taste like anything. It was so bland the strongest taste on the burger was the LETTUCE. The meat had absolutely no flavor, it was like water. My husband tried mine and confirmed it wasn’t just me, it didn’t have any taste. I didn’t send it back due to the treatment that steak got on a previous visit, I figured it would somehow come back worse.
One of my children wouldn’t eat more than the first bite of her burger, and only picked the toppings off and ate the fries, even though she had ordered it herself. I took a bite of hers and it had an extremely strong smoky flavor, which she obviously didn’t like. My other child ordered the same burger and ate half of it so I didn’t think to taste test it.
On previous visits my kids have had the mac and cheese (it’s boxed) and the chicken tenders/nuggets which they liked. This was our first time ordering burgers from the kid menu.
The fries were excellent, and the server that we had today seemed very friendly and was nice to my children. She seemed stretched a little thin and was rushing around, but still managed to check on us a couple times.
I like the Puget Sound themed decorations they have, and the booths are abundant and comfy. We sat outside on a previous visit and that was nice too. I strongly dislike all the televisions, it’s like there’s no where to sit to avoid them except outside. But it looks and feels nice enough that we keep assuming that the food will be...
Read moreWe like the food and would frequent the restaurant quite often. We would have our lunch/dinner in the lounge and the bartenders were always fantastic, attentive and would remember our meal and drink preferences but I have to say the management and the way it made me feel as if I and my issue are not a priority leaves a lot to be desired. I sent the following email to the email address on Bob’s website on January 4th but they could not be bothered to respond and here it is January 20th. I am giving it one star because of the way I was/am being treated. Has anyone else had a similar experience with the management at Bobs Tulalip?
Here is a copy of the email I sent: We had dinner on November 20th at your Tulalip establishment. When we paid for our dinner, we were informed that your internet connection was not working but they would be sure to give us our rewards points once it was back up. In December we still had not received the rewards from November so I made a copy of the receipt and took it with us when we again had dinner at your establishment on December 4th. I handed the receipt to our waiter and explained that we still had not received points from November. We were told that the receipt would be given to the bookkeeper to work on. Near the end of December, we still had not received the November points. I made another copy of the receipt and made a special trip to your establishment to speak to a manager. I explained what was going on and was informed that you are aware of the situation but it is not high priority. Why offer a rewards point system if you are not going to honor it? Outback has a reward point system in place and if points are missed the customer is able to input the receipt information into their reward program and receive the missed points. Why is your system not set up that way? We have not, and will not eat at your establishment again until we are treated as we if we have value and are a priority. Update: On 1/23/25 @ 2:34pm I received this reply; "Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you’ve experienced and truly value your feedback. To ensure we can resolve this matter promptly and credit the missing rewards points to your account, could you please provide us with the check number or total amount of the check? Once we have this information, we will work to get this taken care of as quickly as possible." On 1/27/25 @ 8:37am I sent a picture of my receipt from 11/20/24 and as of 4/1/25 have not...
Read moreWe haven’t been to this Bob’s Burgers in 15+ years because we had a bad group reservation that left me calling the owner. This visit was not an improvement. We had a group reservation. I called ahead because it was hot out and wanted to make sure they had air conditioning and would do separate checks. They said yes, I told them we had a group reservation and asked about the air conditioning, they gave me no indication the group room was a sauna. We get there and the group room was super hot. They had no fans, I am not sure if the air conditioning was working. There was no concern to help the guest be comfortable, like serving ice water etc. You had to ask to get a glass of water and it took 10mins. I ordered a white claw, it took 30mins for me to get it “because the bartender was overloaded”. It’s was served to me in a can so I am unclear why that was difficult. Long story short I was there for literally an hour in a half and hadn’t seen my food. I asked the waitress if they could just box it up to go at that point because we had to go. The food itself was decent but the service there, much like before was awful. None of us saw a manager or anyone walking around making sure guests were happy. When we got there we asked if the interior garage door to the group room could be opened for air flow because we were all cooking in there, peoples shirts were wet from sweat. The response was they needed to ask the manager. This didn’t happen with any sense of urgency and we had to ask multiple times. They really don’t seem to care whatsoever about customer service at...
