Cactus Moon Saloon — Restaurant in Washington

It's always festive and fun at the Moon, full of people laughing talking playing darts or video poker or just having a bite to eat with there cocktails. The bartenders are generous and nice. I like that even when crowded it's not overbearing. If you need a break you can step outside get some fresh air or have a smoke and damage the air lol. Usually find some interesting people and topics outside the bar. Keep your eyes open when you're outside in this area because you may need to be a witness for someone possible you may be the one who needs the witness. Not saying that to scare anyone, it just good to be aware of your surroundings wherever you are going these days. Be extra legal because cops are always around some corner letting and watching and looking for something to stop you for. Just the other day I took a ride on my bike at night and a sheriff's deputy atched me walk my 4 dogs twice that evening because he sat in my complex in that same spot for close to 4 hours. Then after I was done with my dogs I decided on a nice bike ride to Albertsons and again I passed this deputy on my bike, by the time I barely made it to the front of my complex, that deputy had every light on his vehicle going wild along with the screaming sirens surrounding me with pain as I could barley see side walk now because of the spot light he had on me I had to stop for safety reasons and probably my life as well. I asked him why on earth are you stopping me and with all of this, is it even necessary? He drove up to the curb on the wrong side of road briskly exited his big car yelled at me where are you going, I told him and asked him why are you stopping me, he said where are you coming from, ignoring my question to him.i said you know where in common ng from you just folled me from my building and you watched me as I walked my dogs twice this evening you know exactly where I'm coming from. Where are you coming from? HOME. WHERE? I gave him my building number asked again the same question. Where is your light, my what, your light, your bike supposed to have one it's the law.is that what you're stopping me for other than because I'm black? It's the law, you have to have a light on your bike. Well I don't, I've not been aware of such a law I'll see to it I get one. Did you have to do all this for a bike headlights sir, I mean you could've just informed me of this law without the sirens and lights and all this loud drama sir you'd think I've done something terrible the way your carrying on. HAVE A GOOD DAY SIR as he shook shood me off like a dog. Made me too late to the stored, they had closed. So becareful,they are always harrasing me to the point I have videos of most of it, even have a selfie stick taped on my balcony where I get most of their harrasment shinning light inside my balcony door or jumping on my wifi, parking behind my car blocking me in with lights on my car.im sure my neighbors think I'm a criminal or something if they don't know me but everyone who knows me know as I do I'm far from a criminal but I do stand my ground and I will fight for my right to liberty and to protect myself. But...

I live just a block from Cactus Moon, so I go there quite often for my required Margarita's and they don't skip on the booze. I like to turn my Coffee Nudges into dessert and ask for extra whipped cream and cherries and they never hesitate to do this for me. Yum! It's a large saloon with lots of bar seating and a large sunken more quiet area, so I've always been able to get my own large or small table. It's definitely a sports bar with plenty of TV screens. I see a lot of Seahawks fans there on game days. They have darts and golf video game, plus a whole wall of pull tabs behind one side of the bar. I think they have a karaoke night, but I'm not sure. Every single one of the staff that has served me have been friendly and nice. One handsome male server who knows that I'm a regular and often calls me "Honey"or "Sweetheart" which I really like and one time even gave me a hug! Once when my tab came, I was $10 short and he covered it for me, which is so generous. When I tried to pay him back later, he refused to take my money. The same thing happened again, this time $20 and once again my incredible female server AND pride it for me. Later when I went to pay her back, she at first she refused to take my money, however I was so grateful that I insisted that she did. To sum it up the place is really friendly and comfortable with lots of great decorations. My favorite is the I usually there alone, so I like to go there just to talk and interact with other the patrons. They serve appetizers and full meals with daily special's and they bring out your food super-fast. I love Taco Tuesday's as you can get a bunch of hard ones at a time or singles for just $1.50 each and 50 cents more for soft ones. Perfect for when I'm short on money. Friday night is steak night. It wasn't the most tender that I've had but you can't beat the low price. My fav is the huge prime rib special on Sunday night. Salad, clam chowder, a loaded baked potato and the prime rib in small, medium and large. I once had their pot roast special and it was so good that I sent my compliments to the chef. Sometimes she's the one who delivers your food and she's very nice. Definitely check out the Cactus...

Usually a really nice place to go out with the fiancé but tonight was uncomfortable.

(note we have had this sever once before. And she wasn’t very welcoming. Pretty much told us how she’s new to the area and she noticed no one tips. And how it’s rude. Obviously we felt overly obligated to tip her and extra. Since we felt bad.)

The same Server made it very clear that we had to order drinks with our wings before we ordered. She told us they need to make a certain amount of money, due to Covid and meat prices going up. So in order to get wings. We had to offset the balance with beverages, playing games, or music.

so we ordered drinks, but when it was time to go. Aka once we were full. We asked her for a box. She than loudly told us. While tapping her finger on the table. That they (the establishment) were “cracking down” on people who don’t finish their wings, they would require us to either play games or by more drinks. I didn’t know what to say. I kept saying sorry. While my fiancé told not be sorry. I felt guilty for some reason. Even though we paid for everything we order.

We actually ate about 2/3 of our wings. And she then said well at least you ate most of it. I kept saying sorry to her. And just felt so uncomfortable. It’s unfortunate because every other time we went here it’s a very good atmosphere and welcoming; not tonight and we probably will not be coming back which is disappointing.

OVERALL THE FOOD IS GOOD. AND THE OTHER STAFF MEMBERS ARE VERY NICE AND FRIENDLY.
