O Donuts — Restaurant in Washington

This shop is a hidden gem for locals and sell out early afternoon (if you are lucky). Really love this shop that is operated by a family with two daughters, and they are very genuine and kind - always welcoming with warm smiles.

They have the best donuts in town and a variety great enough to delight everyone in the group. I have friends visiting from New York, San Francisco or Seoul, and would usually bring in donuts for them - at least one of those friends liked these donuts so much, they insisted on having them when they came to visit.

The service is top notch provided these hard-working and honest folks. They always greet us like their next-door neighbors, and my daughter is over the moon when she gets an extra donut hole (not always guaranteed of course, depending the time of the day for your visit).

My go-to is a deliciously made fluffy maple bar with lovely maple flavor, beautifully delighted with salty and savory bacon to warm up my soul. My daughter loves their signature cream frosted donut with an adorable puppy face with sprinkled ears, which just makes her so happy every time! But I've never had a donut here that I didn't love... oh, make sure to grab a hot cup of Joe while you are there as well. BEST DONUTS AROUND!! Seriously I don't just say that. I have been to them all and am not one to jump on the band wagon because everyone else says they are good. I see people say Tylers are the best and ya I agree there better than Henrys but you got to put up with a bad attitude and both times I went I just about walked out due to the nats in display case. O donuts is O MY GOD DELICIOUS!! These are a work of art. How do they get the glazed donuts so soft I mean they got crispy creme beat hands down. The croissants for breakfast sandwich you have never had one so goodvin your life! I would put 100k down in a pepsi challenge that they would beat anybody around if not in the world. The lady there very nice and hard working. The place is super clean and they have a great selection of beverages in the cooler. I visited the store at 7:20am. The other reviews are true; these are the lightest fluffiest chewiest donuts around. They are almost chewy in the way that MochiNut donuts are. Their maple glaze does not disappoint, one of the best I’ve had, and layered on thick. I judge donut places by their apple fritter, and this is the reason for the four star review. The apple fritter is no different than the other donuts. There is only cinnamon in the middle portion, and no pieces of apple. Usually even 5/10 fritters are good enough to eat, but this one is just boring and disappointing. While fritters are how i judge an establishment, this one gets a four-star for their other donuts, which were wonderful. Of course I did not try a great variety, but what I tried deserves a...
