Delightful sandwich spot with a cute, cozy basement space!! Compliments Only has been on my DC wish list / rec list forever, so I was super excited when I finally got to give it a try. Despite normally not being the biggest sandwich fan, these were stellar -- the bread was nice and soft, but still had a strong, robust crust to hold the sandwich together. And, believe me, that was much needed: these sandwiches were absolutely stuffed to the brim!

I got their farmer's market after dark, their only vegetarian option, and it was solid. It was absolutely packed with shredded lettuce, cucumber, onion, arugula, and these perfectly sweet and spicy peppers. The veggies are all super fresh, and I love the variety of textures and flavors; the cucumber and lettuce offer a great crunch, and the arugula has a nice, slightly bitter bite to counteract the zing of the onion and sweet / spicy hit from the peppers. The peppers do a lot to carry the flavor in this one, and, while it's not quite as convenient as having the chips already inside the sandwich like you get with the crunchy boi, you can always add a few on your own for some added crunch and flavor. While the sandwich was surprisingly flavorful for just being a bunch of pretty standard veggies, I did think it was a bit lacking in protein, even if you pay the extra fee to top it with mozzarella.

I wouldn't say it's the best place to go if you're vegetarian, but the sandwiches are still fantastic (and, if you're a meat eater, this is one of the best sandwich spots...

There is a sub shop I’ve been hearing a lot about as of late. The name of this spot tells me that if you have anything negative to say, leave it at the front door!! Well blended, seasoned, thick…protein, a savory sauce, & not overly cheesy.

Their Never Been Cheddar Sub (with Roast beef, cheddar cheese, arugula, radish, & mustard aioli $14.50). STAMP!! All these ingredients were full of flavor!! A pungent cheddar, tender beef, & aioli that added some spice!!

Their Hot Pants Sub (with pepperoni, Capicola, Genoa salami, provolone, cholula Mayo, hot & seeet peppers, onions, arugula, lettuce, oil, & vinegar $15). LIKE THAT!! Spicy hot, a perfect savory/saltiness, it just needed more meat.

Their Chips-$3.35, Cookies-$3.25, & Natalie’s Lemonade-$4 ALL STAMPED!! The cookies were a shortbread cookie with fudge on top!! . Customer Service: On Point . Online Navigation: Easy . Parking: Rough. . Recommendations: Get that meatball & Roast beef subs!!

I ordered the crunchy boi through Door Dash on 7/31/22 and it was so good I placed another order for my son and me the next day. He also enjoyed the sub. The subs are filling and well worth the price. I LOVED the subs so much I went to the location today (8/3/22) and ordered again and treated my mother and sister as well. My mother is a sub fanatic. I bought 2 crunchy boi's for myself, one for my sister, and a sicky wicky club for my mother. I asked for hot peppers to be added to one of my subs and was really disappointed when I got home and neither of my subs had any hot peppers. I usually check my food before leaving a business, but all of the subs were wrapped up tight. Also, there was hardly any garlic mayo or oil & vinegar on either of my subs. Totally different from when I ordered through Door Dash. My sub was missing onions as well. After thinking back I don't believe onions were added to my Door Dash orders either. Lasty, the lettuce didn't taste fresh to me and in my opinion too much lettuce is added to the subs which isn't a huge problem since it takes like a second to take some off. My sister and mother did like their subs. In conclusion, I was very disappointed in the subs today. I will definitely support this business again, but not...
