A friend recommended this place to me, and I’m glad I came! The drink flavors are unique and delicious! I got their headliner drink, the Blue Jasmine, and its sweet but not overly so. The pearls are good, could be a tad bit softer but with the amount of people here I imagine its hard to get the right time. The price is a bit high for bubble tea, around $8 for my large, but you are paying for the location and gorgeous building. It’s up to you whether you think its work it. For a study spot its great! Relaxing with soft volume music and cool ac. Plenty of types of seating and even some books and bathrooms upstairs. There is only one free hour of wifi, which is a bit silly. At least let me renew the wifi with a new purchase, then I stay for longer etc. On a gorgeous day like today, the walk and view is perfect for my studying.

Spot of Tea does it over and over and I no longer have to trek around the circles depending on where my day takes me. This new DuPont location is about to be my new home! What a location; prime corner spot on 21st, just a touch off the park, and not too far from metro should you find yourself caught on one of those red line delays.. Great interior updates and the team are bringing the love with fresh paint, new murals and a pop of light bright flavors to the neighborhood! Glenn came through with the Midas touch on my drink with the perfect amount of sweetness, balanced perfectly with a nondairy milk, and a 50:50 boba/lychee jelly combo that set everything off.. CRAZY FRESH! Thanks Glenn!

Came to Spot of Tea over the weekend! Finding parking can be a bit of a challenge, but with street parking available, it's manageable. The place itself is beautifully decorated and offers ample seating space, making it an ideal spot for relaxation. I ordered the hibiscus mango drink, lightly sweetened with bubbles. This drink was not only visually pleasing, but it was also a delightful and refreshing taste. The combination of hibiscus and mango flavors blended seamlessly. Thanks to this visit, I've discovered a new favorite bubble tea spot to frequent while in DC.

It has been SO exciting to see Spot of Tea go from a tiny little pop up in Admo (then Union Market) to a full-blown establishment in the heart of Dupont! And they've absolutely deserved all the hype -- now that I've sampled almost half their menu across their various locations, Spot of Tea has fully solidified its spot as my go-to boba spot in DC! Now the only dilemma is which location I should go to!

I love this tea shop's modern aesthetic, and the simple decor creates a calming vibe perfect for relaxing and disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of DC. Beyond that, they also have some of the kindest staff I've ever met -- everyone was super welcoming and friendly, and they were very willing to answer questions about the menu / give pointers for dietary restrictions. While every Spot of Tea location I've visited has been equally cute and staffed by amazing people, the Dupont location stands out.

As far as drinks go, you really can't go wrong with anything on their menu -- they have a great selection of both classic favorites and exciting fun flavors / seasonal specials. If you're anything like me and struggle to make even the most basic of decisions, their menu also features decision guides, listing out caffeine levels, flavor profiles, and a one-line "why you should pick this drink" for quickly comparing between different options.

Regardless of what you pick, you'll also get the option to add some of DC's best boba pearls, touting the perfect chewy, springy, QQ texture that every boba shop strives for. If you aren't feeling boba, they also have lychee jelly -- it's, admittedly, fewer topping options than many boba shops, but their boba / jelly are so perfect that it's honestly hard to want anything else. I also love that they default to using oat milk for all their drinks at no extra charge, although you can request a switch to dairy milk if you'd prefer.

A few stand-outs from their nearly perfect menu include the Mango Hibiscus and Mango Yuzu Black Tea; both great if you want something fruity and refreshing. Or if you want the exact opposite, I'd recommend their Black Sesame Latte or Milk -- rich, warm, nutty black sesame will warm your soul and prepare you to face even the most bitter DC winters).

All in all, definitely give Spot of Tea a shot! Any of their locations are winners in my book, but the Dupont shop is a...

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! It is now going to go down as one of my must visit spots everytime I'm in DC. As someone who loves bubble tea, but has cut down on drinking it because I can no longer tolerate dairy, this place was UNMATCHED. I loved that I had the option of ordering anything on the menu. I got the London Fog with lavender (q seasonal drink) with light ice, 50% sweetness, and light boba. My friend got the rose mocha at 50% sweetness. Both of our drinks were EXCELLENT. The lavender and rose flavors were subtle in both our drinks and our cashier correctly recommended a 50% sweetness level so the drink felt balanced.

Also, the ambience was so cozy - there are one or two tables downstairs where you can look out the windows and a full set upstairs with tables, and comfy chairs, and a bookshelf. It seems to be a popular study spot, but my friend and I came here on a rainy day to chat and it was perfect for...
