I never know how to start these so I guess I’ll just dive right in haha. Today was our first experience with the extremely hyped up Crumbl Cookies. After hearing everybody raving about it and watching the app for a few weeks until something tasty popped up, we finally ordered! The store is located on the left side of the street, so to make things easier I pulled around so that I could approach the store from the right rather than from the left. We parked and marked we had arrived, deliciousness awaits!
After about 5 minutes a woman came out and in a rude tone let us know that curbside parking was actually out back and pointed towards the sign that was in my rear view mirror, behind my car and facing the opposite way that anybody would be parked. Oopsie, but at least we know for next time! We opened the box, cookies look great! Can’t wait to get home and try them! We ordered a Chocolate Chip, a Chocolate Cupcake (which is a sugar cookie with chocolate frosting and sprinkles on it) and 2 Peaches N Cream cookies.
Buyers remorse never hit so quick as I took my first bite of the Chocolate Cupcake sugar cookie. It probably doesn’t help that I’m personally not the biggest fan of sugar cookies, but the outside was really dry and flakey rather than being soft and moist like i’d expected. There wasn’t really any taste to the cookie itself, all I could really taste was the chocolate frosting. 3/10 for that cookie.
Next up was the Peaches N Cream which looked fantastic by the way! The cookie itself was great, very moist and soft and delicate, felt like it was going to gently break in half in your hand. 9/10 cookie for sure! The peach bites in the whipped frosting on top were good as well if you like peaches, but I feel like the frosting was a little overpowering. If you’re the type of person that likes whipped cream and squirts it into your mouth out of those cans, you’ll love this cookie. Once you get to the middle you can’t really taste anything except the frosting and again, same as the first cookie, I couldn’t really taste the cookie itself. Overall i’d give that cookie probably a 6.5 or 7 out of 10 if you like peaches and cream.
And finally, your basic every day Chocolate Chip cookie. You can’t beat the classics and as my girlfriend said, I’m going to judge you on your chocolate chip cookie because if you can’t make a chocolate chip cookie good, you probably can’t make other cookies good. I hate to repeat myself, but I had the same problem with this cookie as I did with the Chocolate Cupcake sugar cookie. The outside is really dry and flakey. Not like the crust of a cookie, I’m all for the crunchy outside with a gooey inside, but its more like as if maybe the cookie was old and had started to dry up from the outside in? I’m awful with descriptive words and am struggling to describe it so I guess its something you’ll have to experience for yourself. The chocolate chips in the cookie were great. They were melted and the inside was definitely soft and moist like one would expect. A little too much chocolate chip to cookie ratio, but decent nonetheless. 7/10 cookie, this was actually the only one my girlfriend could take more than a bite or two of.
Overall experience, 4/10 (or 2/5 I guess?). After spending almost $20 after tip on 4 cookies, no direction on where to pick up in the app (unless I missed it and if so, my bad), a sign facing the wrong way, rude customer service, and mediocre cookies, I feel as if i’ve wasted $20 and will likely not return. If you’ve been to Midnight Cookie in Seattle or Everett, Midnight Cookie is better and I would recommend that over Crumbl. It is also...
Read moreSo frustrated! Tonight was my first time at this location. Arrived and saw the line was decently long and the cookies were being slowly delivered; the waiting crowd was longer than the ordering crowd. We still decided to go in and wait. Waited to be able to order at the front kiosk. The waiting crowd grew immensely to the point there was little to no place to stand for the waiting crowd along with new customers coming in and door dashers. Im not watching the clock, but am understanding they are busy and swamped and patience is key so we continue to wait inside. After the crowd dies down a good bit later I look around and see there aren't but 2-3 other people in the store with me. I haven't wanted to cause a fuss because I have seen how busy they were and was confident that they were working on our order. I finally looked down at my phone and realized it had been an HOUR. I politely go to the lady and wait patiently as she comes and goes a few times looking at me but not acknowledging I need help. She finally comes to see what I needed. I expressed I have been inside the whole time and tell her my name and was concerned somehow something was missed since I've been present the whole time. She gives me a 😳 look and tell me my cookies have been ready and hands them to me and kinda says sorry and have a good night. I am so frustrated that when calling out orders they aren't calling vocal enough with the amount of people that they can be heard. There needs to be some type of screen that when they bing the order complete in the back, it shows the name on the screen in case a order gets missed when they call. I called myself being polite and patient and not wanting to rush the busy staff tonight and waited an HOUR for cookies because someone wanted to whisper a name in a store packed full of people. Very frustrated with my...
Read moreI wanted to rate this place lower this morning, I placed my order for curbside pickup at 10:08am for an 11:45am pickup. I was picking up lunch for some co-workers on my day off and they wanted Sushi, so, Trappers, then Crumbl, no big deal, free cookie day! Yay! So, figured why not get dessert. I hit the “I’m Here” button on the app to let them know I was in the parking lot. The line was quite long, it was windy and the Grand Opening tent kept trying to blow away. There was a guy trying to light the outdoor heaters and was simply having no luck. At one point, I asked an employee if I could just physically go in and pick up my order, of course, they’re busy looking for cars and have explained that it will probably be ready soon. I call the store to find out the wait time, about 45 minutes she said, super nice girl. My only complaint at the time was the priority being placed on the “free cookie” crowd, anyway, fast forward, I left, my app still indicated that it was being worked on. I delivered and consumed lunch with my co-workers (30 min away), drove back and waited a little longer (app indicated it was being boxed). Shortly after 2pm, I called checking on the status, all the while watching employees wander all over the parking lot looking for customers. The girl that answered the phone after hearing that I had waited over 2 hours, brought my order to me... guess what, no free cookie, she did give me a coupon for one, however. The 5 star rating was for the service. I wish I could remember her name, but she never missed a beat, she was a champ! Oh, and the cookies were fabulous, so, there’s that! I will chalk up the wait time to the Grand Opening chaos. Your staff...
