There was a movie recently called The Menu with Ralph Fiennes and (spoiler) there's a scene in which we see him pouring his heart and soul into making this double decker cheeseburger dripping with grease and cheese reminiscent of an old burger joint you'd find in some small town. When I saw that scene, I thought of Dairy Delight. I've had a lot of burgers from around the US and this one is way up there. They're quick, and it's a basic cheeseburger with basic toppings however you want it. No frills, not piled high with random assortments of mushrooms and onion rings with a knife stabbed through the top to make it an "Instagram worthy" aesthetic. They let the food speak for itself. They also have kids meals. I have the pickiest kids in the world even when it comes to burgers. Yet they raved about the food so much we had to get it again a couple weeks later. The second time, my youngest wanted a grilled cheese but they were out of sliced bread unfortunately, yet the cooks said they could try to make it on a bun if he'd eat that. Surprisingly he did, so I'm glad they went above and beyond to try and help us out. Oh and they also have ice cream, which was good as well. You really can't go wrong...
Read moreThere are not enough stars for me to rate this place. I've visited it 4 or 5 times now in past two weeks or so. Here is my short review. Detailed one to follow.
Clean. Everywhere. Tables, floor, counter, self serve drink area, restrooms (could almost eat off floor), parking lot, customer cleaned tables like 'bread company', but still clean. Best Cheesburger I've had in my 65 years on earth. Except my mother's that is. Best Strawberry Sunda I've had. Plain and simple. Best Mushroom appetizer I've had ever. Plain and simple.
From my conversations with a few local customers who's brain I picked while there. This place has been here awhile and everyone knows about it. Dont know why I didnt. Oh, to go orders taken. And. I've never waiting more that 5 minutes after ordering.
Oh, the photo of those pictures on wall are actually awards given out by the 'The Missourian', and selected by the readers and those who...
Read moreMe my girlfriend just moved to Washington exactly a month ago and live within walking distance right by Dairy Delight. It's became our FAVORITE place to eat in Washington. It beats hardees and any other competitors by a long shot. Hardees shakes are 4.99. Same as dairy delight. But at Dairy Delight you get way better quality ice cream, have more than 3 flavors to pick from, and they actually fill the cup/cone/malt/shake/floats all the way up where as hardees fills them half way and fills the rest and cheese from D.D. is way fresher and better quality. Not to mention the people who work there are so nice and cool and respectful. Thre customer service is what brought us back the first 5x but now it's just the whole experience. WE figured we would Try hardees and it we spent 38$ when we usually spend under 25$ at DD for. These DD employees are always super nice and sweet and definitely...
