I was so excited to try a new pizza place that I went there twice, thinking it was open; of course, they were not open, but a few days later, we lucked out! Walking into a clean new building, with minimal scarring or dings, and the air filled with seasonings you can only find in a pizza parlor wows your sensations and is always a pleasant feeling!
As you walk in, the kitchen is straight ahead, the bar area to the left, and the family dining area to the right. We chose the family side.
Frances was our sever, she was polite, not overly chatty but she checked on us plenty of times without making a nuisance out of herself.
The menu had various options: Appetizers, build your own pizzas, artisan pizzas, salads, entrees, and desserts. A decent choice!
We ordered a twelve-inch deluxe classic pizza with pepperoni, fennel sausage, Canadian bacon, red peppers, mushrooms, black olives, mozzarella, and provolone cheese.
Also, we ordered a salad to split and what was supposed to have been a lite salad, considered their smaller salads; the server gave us an entrée salad, which is their full-size one. Not knowing that it was the wrong size we were given, I told the waitress that we were impressed that the salad was so significant in size for being their "lite" salad, and she said, "Oh, I know...I know, and thank you." We didn't even catch that it was the wrong size on the receipt until we got home and looked at the receipt. And our server (Frances B.) never said, "I'm sorry we gave you the wrong size salad," or anything of that sort. Lesson here? Check the receipt before paying, we normally do, but hopefully this is a one off for us!
The total bill, not including our tip, but also including the glass of Coors light beer, and AFTER joining their rewards, getting the ten dollars off was still 50 dollars, I know things are more expensive right now, and in the grand scheme of things if the pizza was awesome, the shock factor of the bill would have been a little less.
At least that salad was aesthetically pleasing! On a bed of mixed spring greens were five small slices of chicken (now that I am thinking of it, that wasn't much chicken for the large salad), blue cheese, craisins, candied pecans, and slices of apple to the sides, all dressed with a raspberry vinaigrette. Good taste overall!
Unfortunately Farrelli's Pizza only comes on a thin crust. The pizza we ordered, although an acceptable tasting pizza, we felt lacking in a couple of different ways; for one, there really wasn't enough sauce, and cheese was minimal; this is coming from someone who prefers average amounts of sauce and cheese, nothing outrageous, but enough were I could taste it, and I do like the sensation of biting into a piece of pizza, and the cheese stretches like taffy. Also, the crust was thin and awkwardly thinner towards the middle of each piece.
The restrooms were clean, no fouls smells or odd odors, the family part of this restaurants was comfortable and casual. I'm sorry I can not tell you about the bar area.
You can find Farrelli's Pizza next to the Tractor Supply Company and Papa Murphy's off Bucklin Hill Road in Silverdale. 2222 NW Bucklin Hill Road, Silverdale, Washington. There is plenty of parking area, no need to worry about that!
Directly across Bucklin Hill Road is Maynard's Restaurant.
Unfortunately I can honestly say, we probably wont be back anytime soon, perhaps in the future we will try Farrelli's Pizza again! I urge you to give them a try and decide for yourself, this is my opinion and mine alone!
And Remember: "PLEASE be kind to ALL...
Read moreNEW REVIEW FROM April 2024 (my previous old reviews are below): It’s a no from me. I’ve gone from a 5 star review, to a 4 star review, to my final 1 star - because we won’t be back. After taking forrrrever - our pizza arrived to the table without cheese. We told the hostess (because she walked by) she leaned right over the pizza got close for a bit and said “I’ll get your server” (gross). Server finally came over and said “there is cheese on it”. 😑 We asked her if she was serious. She said “yeah you asked for fresh mozzarella, it spreads out”. We explained we understood the cheese spreads out but it doesn’t DISAPPEAR. 🫠 She looked again and said “ok I believe you we’ll make another one” - super hasty and annoyed. Eventually we got the new pizza (with visible cheese). She took off the 1st pizza and of course charged up for the “new” pizza - meanwhile all the other entrees were finished and done eating. Just disappointing to see Farrelli’s go dawn and down hill while charging a mountain of cash for their pizzas. I deleted the app - we’re done forking over so much for meh attention to detail - how do you miss the cheese? And then how do you have a waitress that’s like “meh whatever”? Ooomph.
NEW REVIEW FROM 12/24/23 (my previous old review is below): Farrelli’s is hit or miss. Today was a miss. Called a little after 7:30p to check if takeout orders were being accepted - “Kat” cheerfully confirmed they were. She took my order and I asked when they closed, she said “tonight, 8pm” (the email I received from Farrelli’s said “last seating for dine-in 8pm”). Was surprised but excited that she took my order.
I arrived for pickup, greeted very nicely by Kat - who let me know the cooks weren’t happy that she took a to go order after 7:30. “7:30 was the cut off”.
Ok 🤷♀️ not sure why I needed to know that the people making my food weren’t happy. Grrreat.
I tipped extra generously for their ‘troubles’ - even though I despise tipping BEFORE I get my food 😑
I waited a short 3-5 minutes, order was up, and off I went.
Got home: the $13 salad was missing the dressing, one pizza had some slices with more crust than toppings, and the other pizza was undercooked and doughy. 😢
$70 for 2 pizzas and a salad ($88+ after tip)
Yes..I could have/should have checked the salad for dressing - my bad for assuming everything I ordered would be there.
Yes..I could have checked the pizzas for toppings - but imaging how good I would feel “sending back” to a kitchen that was already upset that my order was permitted 😂 🤦♀️
So - this place is extremely expensive. It’s really good when your topping go closer to the edge.
Buyer beware, check your to go orders thoroughly.
If your a rewards member be sure to give them your phone number for points - our last 2 to go orders didn’t ask us/we forgot to mention it and lost valuable points to help ease the pain of a $35+ pizza.
REVIEW FROM A YEAR AGO: Finally!!! Edible pizza in WA! Being from NY, we’re pizza snobs (lol!) and we’ve been searching for great pizza for the last decade out here…Farrelli’s has it! Thin crust that you can fold without a bunch of seasoning on the bottom (thank you!) and just the right amount of cheese. F-I-N-A-L-L-Y 🎉
We’ve done take out and have eaten in, both have been great. We ate in the bar area and the server was also one of the managers, she was great - good energy, welcoming and friendly, and helped with all our questions.
Very happy that they exist in Silverdale but I do with their delivery range included Bremerton 😆 probably better for my wallet...
Read moreAfter seeing this place for a few years, I decided to finally give it a try. But not before reading a few reviews on Google. I hate spending good money on a service experience and being disappointed, which I was...
Sadly, this place was exactly as some of the reviewers responded on here. The service was terrible. Our server (for the owner, the guy with the short dreads and goatee), was so unpleasant and clearly uninterested in being there or talking to us, that it really ruined the meal. I can't make it any simpler than to say if you are in the service business, provide good service. It soured the entire experience for our family.
And really, a chain restaurant of this class should think about how much more important service is. The ambience is what you'd expect from a normal fast food joint, it's not like it's an experience enhancer. But perhaps most importantly, the pizza IS NOT very good. It's what I would describe, at best, average fast-food pizza. Not sure what people are using as a scale of reference to describe this pizza as excellent, but it is not. It's more like "okay" for a family or kid meal.
Perhaps what also made this dismal waste of resources all the more disappointing were all the responses I saw from the owner on the reviews I read. I might not have gone in based on the reviews. But when I saw that the owner responded to every single review on Google and Yelp. When owners respond at all, it's usually with counter-accusations or denials. These responses all thanked people for positive and critical feedback, and promised to do something about it. I thought, how unusual. Cleary this is a guy who wants to improve his business. Wrong! Clearly you have not, because you had the most unpleasant person in the house waiting tables, even though many other reviewers complained about the same thing.
Finally, this place is expensive, especially with inflation. Why would I spend $60 or $80 to be treated poorly with a mediocre ambience and product? Well, I certainly won't again here.
If you are looking for pizza, go across the street to Tessio's, in the same parking lot. Real ,high-quality, wood-fired pizza with better prices and...
