2/5 stars. I did a custom ice cream cake, the smallest size. The workers forgot the caramel filling and the piping isn't the best handwriting, the piping makes the cake look more homemade than if I paid a company, but I did pay a company, so I'm a little disappointed. The cake itself is good, the "cheesecake ice cream" tasted like vanilla, not cheesecake. Apple pie mix in saved the cake, best thing about this cake, but I wish I had more of that mix in.
Since cold stone wants to comment on my post saying that they "we do not specialize in professional calligraphy/cake decorating nor do we advertise ourselves as such". But on their website it says that they "Expertly craft your Custom ice cream cake". Which would mean all aspects of the cake should be done "expertly", including calligraphy. I can forgive frosting piping that can't stay in a straight line, but they forgot my caramel...
Read morePlaced an order for 3 ice creams. Two like it and one love it. The love it was supposed to be "the way the cookie crumbles" with the like it's being "dough for it" and "pumpkin bread". They made the pumpkin the bigger size and all 3 were so sticky and covered in ice cream it went though the pickup bag. I took them back in to be cleaned and have the sizing fixed and the girl there tried saying "the cookie dough ice cream expands so I know it was measured correctly" well if that was true, wouldn't it be in a bigger size, because expanding means bigger? It was in a like it cup when the love it was ordered. She said she was only going to remake the pumpkin in the smaller size. At that point I was just done trying to explain things and took the sticky messes and left. So my 4 year old has more ice cream than my husband does, just because the girl wanted to argue and doesn't know how...
Read moreWhat happened to Cold Stone being a place where your toppings get mixed in? This is supposed to be the Berry Berry Good. Instead it's sweet cream topped with chopped berries.
The girl came rushing to the front from the back and spent less than 30 seconds cutting and mixing the berries into the ice cream. Of the 4 strawberries that she put onto the mix, 2 fell out and rather than scoop them back in and mix them in fully, SHE TOSSED THEM OUT Y'ALL. Literally half the strawberries for my ice cream went into the trash. Oh, but she made up for it with a few extra blue berries. Nice. That totally makes up for half the missing ingredients in my half-mixed ice cream.
What irritates me the most about this is there was no one in front of me and no one besides my spouse waiting to order, so I don't understand why my order was slapped together so poorly. I paid almost $10 for this?...
