One coffee house that isn't in my beaten path is Austin Chase Coffee house; what makes Austin Chase unique from the coffee places I have recently frequent is that you don't drive up; you go in. I was excited to try them; I'm not in that general area often, but today I made an exception to be.
I had a 12 oz Americano at $3.00ish dollars, Unfortunately, I cannot fully compare if that is an average price or not; I usually purchase 8 oz.
Of course, the question I keep asking is, will this Americano by Austin Chase Coffee be as good as the Americano by Energy Island Smoothie that I have come to love? YES! I believe it is! There is a smooth, rich, earthy taste with a right balance between the espresso beans they use, which I believe is dark and light espresso beans. There is no bitter or acidic aftertaste, just a really impressive taste with the tantalizing aroma to go with it; honestly, both Americano from both places was incredible and unique in their own way, with some similarities in other ways.
Austin Chase Coffee serves a wide variety and sizes of coffees, teas, and specialty drinks, along with a slew of sandwiches and sweets beyond reason. I also noticed that bags of their coffee could be purchased, and their roaster is local!
The atmosphere is clean, relaxing, and down to earth, and the customer service was excellent! Linda is the owner, and she is phenomenal, and I don't use that word lightly; Linda, to me, is the type of person you could sit down with and have a long conversation with as if she was a childhood friend you hadn't seen in twenty years! So, yes, I would recommend trying Austin Chase Coffee, and although being a small franchise, correct me if I am wrong on that, but they employ local people, which helps with our local economy!
Austin Chase's location is 9621 Mickelberry Rd #110 Silverdale, WA. Austin Chase shares a parking lot with a few other businesses like Family Thai Cuisine and Cold Stone Creamery. Located across Mickelberry is VCA Animal Hospital and Subway.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI lived here 10 yrs ago and the coffee and service was excellent. After being moved back, I popped in again last week for a coffee again. Not sure what has happened, but the quality of the coffee is just not as good for me here as it used to be. The strength of it is tho so il give points for that-I'm just not a fan of the flavor. Also, I waited in line for 9 min and there was one person in front of me. This other dude kept coming back and asking the cashier for things, apparently either not noticing or caring that she had a line of people to wait on. She was friendly and professional, but she really should have asked that customer to please wait while she finishes with other people in line as she had already placed his order-it just stinks when you gotta be somewhere on time and wait on people who are not even in line anymore. However, once I did get to place my order the barista had it out in a total 1 min(I was impressed by this āļøš). After 10 years, they still have their candy coffee beans for sale which I love. I dunno, I may give them one more try...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just watched something that should NEVER happen in the service industry. While sitting and enjoying my morning coffee I noticed a man at the counter where third party deliveries are picked up. Nothing strange about this as the coffee here is great and people like to have it delivered. What is strange is over the course of the next 10 minutes not one of the 4 ladies working even acknowledged this person despite many of them either coming within a foot of him or walking by him. Thatās nuts! Did they believe he was invisible, or are these ladies simply that rude.
After seeing this behavior I will not be returning to this business even if the coffee is great. There is simply no reason to so obviously ignore someone, especially someone whose trying to earn a living. Iām embarrassed and ashamed for everyone of the ladies who took it upon themselves to be that overly rude to that man for no reason. Thank you, but Iāll take my business elsewhere...
