Good Hope Seafood — Restaurant in Washington

I will never order from them again! I use to order from them all the time. Today I order for myself and my children but I was at work and didn’t eat my food right away. When I looked at my food finally I noticed it was burnt. I called the restaurant and asked for a replacement. The first thing they said was they would just replace the shrimp I told the young lady no I wanted the whole meal replaced and she said no because it was only the shrimp that was burnt. Then they called me back and said because two hours had went past I had to send a picture to prove it was burnt and have someone come to the restaurant and make the exchange. So I asked her what the time had to do with anything I was at work. She proceeded to go back and forth with me. So I sent the picture and told them at that time they can keep the food I didn’t want it anymore. Because that was to much for me. I spend good money with them all the time. I can not rate the atmosphere because my food was delivered. This was my first and last time ordering from here. The chicken wings seemed old. I had orders which consisted of at least twenty five chicken wings and they were not consistent in texture,appearance and taste. The shrimp egg foo young pods were burnt, the gravy was too thick and salty. The fries were withered upon receipt. The rib tips were overcooked and mostly bone and gristle. I have had better and well aware that the quality could be better than what I received. I paid close to two hundred dollars for food and the quality of food received was unacceptable. In addition, the delivery person car wreaked of cigarette smoke which is extremely unsanitary for food delivery services.

I called to make a delivery order. The lady that answers the phone is rude as hell. I was ordering two fish sandwiches with cheese, hotsauce lettuce and mayo. I was trying to make sure the person I was placing the order for wanted mayo for sure, she so damn impatient she hangs up the phone. Then when I call back and ask why she hung up she proceeds to say I was trying to give you time to figure out what you wanted. I am a cashier and I answer the phone and take orders as well, so I know how it can be to get a guest who does not know for sure what they want, but you have to be patient.
