I recently visited a restaurant that I found to be quite disappointing. The food was just okay, but the prices were outrageous for the tiny portions they served.. After spending nearly $170, I left feeling unsatisfied, primarily due to the dreadful customer service.
After a long drive, I was eager to find a good BBQ spot and this place seemed convenient on our route back home. When I walked in, my daughter and I didn’t feel welcome, the cashier was glued to her phone and completely ignored me. I had to say “hello” just to get her to acknowledge me, she mumbled a half-hearted “hi” without even looking up, which I found off-putting.
I tried to engage with her, asking about popular side dishes since it was my first visit. Instead of a friendly response, she acted as if my questions were a nuisance, providing curt answers. Every question I asked was met with short, snappy answers. When I inquired about regular fries, she acted like I was speaking a different language. I was ordering a substantial amount of food, and her rude attitude made the experience unbearable.
Also; when my daughter needed to use the restroom, I asked the cashier for directions. She simply confirmed there was a bathroom but didn’t offer any guidance. I had to reiterate my request, and then she insisted my daughter wait until I completed my order to unlock the bathroom door.
I was so fed up that I confronted her about her attitude, and she just muttered something in Spanish to her coworkers. I responded in Spanish, expressing that her rudeness was unacceptable. When I finally paid, I had to ask for a receipt, as she didn’t provide one, as she decided not to deal with me.
Overall, this place is a disaster. The staff needs serious training in customer service. I wish I had read the bad reviews before deciding to go here. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and skip...

Read moreI had an incredibly disappointing experience with DCity Smokehouse. I first called on May 31 to book their food truck for an event and the catering manager told me he’d call back to confirm availability. He followed up the next day, assured me the truck was available, said I was added to the calendar and that I’d receive an email confirmation. I received the email and responded confirming all the details we covered on the phone and asked for a slight change to the menu —all of this was documented via email.
A full week passed and I received no confirmation, despite following up via email. When I still hadn’t heard back, I decided to visit in person. That’s when I was told, after the manager retrieved and printed my email thread that they gave my date to DC Water and could no longer accommodate my event. So basically they wanted to do the job that would generate more money. I am not made at this but at least give me a call saying he we double booked by "accident."
This was not only unprofessional but completely unacceptable. Had I not shown up in person, I would have had 90 guests and no food truck. There was no communication, no apology, and no attempt to correct the mistake. I cannot recommend working with a company that handles...
